    BMW i3s tops at 163kmh and does 0-100kmh in 6.9sec. Skinny wheels, carbon reinforced plastic chassis and the same drivetrain as the Mini Cooper SE.

    I'm surprised the MINI was so slow. In the US, Motor trend, and Car and Driver reported the MINI doing 0-60mph in 6.0 and 6.1 respectively, and the quarter mile in 14.7s. Bjorn Nyland got 6.6s 0-100, with 2.89s 0-50kph on a normal road (with hardware timing). I am guessing there are differences in tyres, temp etc. At the end of the day it was the same for all cars and really just a comparison :) The choice of tyres does help/hinder the MINI as the traction control won't give full power if the wheels would spin. What tyres were on the MINI as a matter of interest? The US cars all had good year eagle f1, which would provide good traction off the line.

    • @Rene-mg9eg
      @Rene-mg9eg Před 3 lety +2

      0-60 is 96 km/h so 4 km/h less that would be some quarters of a second as well and also the outside conditions are perhaps different then in the us .😊

    What a zombie, pointless, useless exercise. Had you been testing racing cars on a track, fine, but these are street vehicles. The entire venture encourages the mindless mentality all too frequently apparent on our roads of imbeciles whose uppermost intent is driving as fast as possible simply to satisfy mega egos obsessed with acceleration figures. Fairly recently, within sight of where I live, just such an maniac driving at over 90 mph lost control and killed three people as a result, two of them children. I rest my case.
