Brown made the clutch shots and was the most consistent throughout the finals AND playoffs , that's how he won it , not just being consistent in one game like Tabum did in game 5.
Jayson Tatum made All first team NBA if he would have gotta the finals MVP that would have been crazy. So JB not making any All NBA team its only right they give the finals MVP to JB.
He kinda got robbed but imo he and brown had a very similar stat line and the game was already over and my boy Tatum was stat padding. (I literally fw Tatum just my opinion.)
Tatum is the only player to lead his team in points, rebounds and assists in the finals and not win the finals MVP. Did he get robbed, yes and no. I think they both deserved to win it. That's why I didn't have a problem with how it turned out and because of the snub of the all nba and all defense, I'm glad it happened that way. But Tatum had a legitimate argument for winning ECFMVP and FMVP. But I've said this for the last two years. Tatum is slightly better than Brown, but the way Brown plays makes it more noticeable. JT is more methodical and does stuff that actually hurts him because of the way casual fans view basketball. I think the way most people see him and talk about him is BS. And also the fact that he decided to take a step back offensively and let JB do more while being the focus of the other teams D opened up a lot for JB but that isn't the type of thing that gets noticed or appreciated.
Long ass paragraph , Tabum sucked throughout the finals til game 5 and was ass throughout the playoffs , brown sacrificed more splitting his shots with holiday and white , plus the coach likes to take the ball out of browns hand whenever he has the hot hand , then gives the ball to tabum so he can finish with the most points on the team Brown > Tatum
