You made the right choice . I have a cat 963C also a D6R. Both mid twenty models and both with rippers and root rakes. My choice of machines would be the 963 for all around work. 963 Will take out a tree on the stump twice as fast as the D6. Pile trees higher and cleaner, cut and push more fill faster. And a dozer can't load trucks. Good luck with your machine.

Until it starts having issues. Engine is bogging down under load (turning or pushing). Need to figure out what's wrong. Got a lot done already though.

I know this is late but I would recommend that, if you haven't done it, you change all the fluids and filters including the antifreeze and be sure and put in the correct additives to prevent cavitation. I have a Cat 3208 in my motor home. Mustang Cat in Houston is a good source for parts. Also, if you don't already have one I would get an electric grease gun. Enjoy digging up mesquite.

Nice machine. Track loaders like to "load" not "doze" so much. Pushing brush, it will be fine, but watch the temps when dozing a pond. It may want some cooling-off periods for the drivetrain.
    Have fun.

That there is a beast-a freaking beast. I recommend adding external speakers and blasting Kid Rock's American Badass while operating it.
Looks like way too much fun- Congrats!

I personally wouldn't buy a track loader. I've used loaders all my life and a back hoe is much more versatile. Being a fellow German I understand, though I have a mixed racial family. I dig anything German. My guess is about $40-200K USD. I would have done the maintenance before using it.
