Dear Peter, thank you for creating this wonderful movie. I have watched it with friends many times and I’m now going to watch it again. It is priceless. God love you.

Honestly, as a guy of Indian descent, I really liked this version of the mahabharata. I couldn't care less about many of the race change. It was a western movie in the '80's. I loved the overall aesthetic of the movie, and it was long, slow burn, and included more of the mahabharata than most movies I had seen of the mahabharata.

Does a copy of the 9 hour play version exist anywhere? Was it ever recorded?

😅😅 You cut the role of sanjay in mahabharata which i wanted to see from your perspective. But another than this your 'Mahabharata' is close to truth.

@polka-dot man This is no way closer to the Ved Vyas epic... HE HAS RUINED THE EPIC...thats what it is.... I have read the mahabharat...This man has insulted it by making it into Game of thrones... BR Chopra has read each and every line and spent 4-5 years into research... Clearly...after watching this guy's story telling... it was evident that he did not do any research... Sir, let me tell you a fact... FYI Today all Indians watch BR Chopras Mahabharat....

GOT diddn't exist back then and since You have no other argument, but _chauvinism_ this version is _proven_ 'superior' to Your preferences...
Whining abvout a multi-ethnic 1980s cast that utilized the immigrant actors available back then in France is just that_ _whining_ .
