I started reading the Bible. Had no idea who Iscariot was. 🎶🎶until now🎶🎶 and I had to come back to this song and it made this song so much more meaningful.
Wow. I'm watching this man lip sing into the camera in a badly lit airport yet it's one of the more powerful experiances I've had musically. The melody combined with his intensity create something you could drown in.

This song is really close to my heart for a recent issue that came up with my oldest brother. Looking into Nick's eyes while he expresses exactly how I'm feeling brings me close to tears. This band has no idea who I am, but they brought words to me where I had none for my brother. Its almost a relief.
AND he is outrageously goodlooking. That helps. That always helps.

Absolutely beautiful song. I fell in love with it the minute I heard it for the first time. I had never heard of walk the moon until my teacher told me he listened to them. I had to look them up and hear them for myself and I love them completely. This song is by far my favorite and I'm sure it always will be.

Too many people allow the messages of the music they follow to fly by, as if the songs mean nothing. They all have meaning, and this one, by far, is more relevant than almost the entire gamut of music on the radio and in the populus' eye. I love this song and what it says. Thank you, WTM, for being true musicians in this sense. I appreciate all who place true meaning and character into the music they write. These are the true musicians.

I remember they blew up. I went through every song of theirs and my Xbox 360 update just came through where CZcams was on it. Man this song made me ball. Here I am 12 years later still crying my eyes out. Music is so powerful. It’s insane. I purchased the Walk The Moon album because of this song back in 10th (16) grade here I am 27 turning 28

how do I know that it is SF? because I have been in and out of that airport so many times. the airplanes hanging from the ceiling are unmistakable.
At first I didn't like this video because he just looks like a crazy person, but now I realize that it takes some guts to do that. It shows that this song is more than just a compilation of words that sound good together. It's so much deeper than a superficial video done in a studio just to look cool, so thank you for writing this amazing song and thank you for making the video mean something also.

I don’t understand the lyrics at all, yet this song moves me so much
It's a reference to Judas Iscariot who betrayed Jesus and was later killed for his betrayal. The song is from the perspective of his brother.
@@zaccds Judas hung himself the lion's den is referring to Jesus or the Lion of Judah and facing judgement. The song is probably meant to be Judas Iscariot right before his suicide.
Here's how I see the lyrics.
He took the money he got for the betrayal and threw it in the church, angry at himself for what he'd done. He then went home still angry and thinks about his time with Jesus and as he does he begins the song opening with a line about following Christ to his death as he forms a noose. 'Until now, I knew this of myself that if you had thrown yourself down into the lion's den my brother I'd follow you in'. After contemplating it he thinks back to Christ telling the disciples one of them would betray him 'Brother you were so right sure as the setting sun cant trust just anyone'. Judas continues reminiscing on when he first meet Jesus and Christ asked Judas to follow him 'Thats what you want' and Judas then acknowledges that he doesn't mean it literally he wants them to follow his example 'but its not what your asking for, thats what your asking for' However Judas is going to literally follow him 'gonna get more than you bargained for.' Judas hears Jesus's voice telling him it had to happen and that he forgives him. Upon hearing this he is sad at first then his anger swells as he refusse to let Jesus forgive him 'I never imagined you dead... I never... But tell me are you even aware that all that we did you undo. Iscariot you fool' Judas hangs the noose and begins shouting himself 'you know you had it coming' boiling over at betraying his friend and brother (religiously) he begins to hang himself for his brother as he sees his death as the only way to repent. As he draws his last breathe with tears in his eyes he sobs 'my brother...'
I am not the most religious person (last time I went to church was Xmas '10) but the passion that this song has, simply through a recording is almost overwhelming, like I'm about to breakdown and cry. And in the video he just shows that passion even more and it makes for an unbelievable performance.
