Barry Harris - Ciclo Jazz Internacional | Centro Cultural Kirchner

El pianista Barry Harris, figura legendaria del jazz y una de las últimas glorias del bebop, se presentó por primera en nuestro país. Con 87 años brindó un concierto de lujo en el Auditorio Nacional, junto al contrabajista Jerónimo Carmona y el baterista Eloy Michelini.
El ciclo "Jazz. Visitas internacionales" rememora grandes conciertos realizados en el Centro Cultural Kirchner, con figuras como Bill Frisell, Egberto Gismonti y Barry Harris, entre otras.

Barry was such a sweet man. You can see the bass player got lost on "Nascimento" and he seems really upset and embarrassed about it. Barry inmediatly noticed it and started to show him the chords in spanish! 44:08 . Still lost he made it through the song and at 47:34 he introduced him and tried his best to get him in the mood again, interacting with the crowd, that was grooving and enjoying a lot anyways! RIP. There will never be another Barry.
