Directed by MARC WEBB
Starring CHRIS EVANS, MCKENNA GRACE, JENNY SLATE, LINDSAY DUNCAN and OCTAVIA SPENCER
Frank Adler (Chris Evans) is a single man raising a child prodigy - his spirited young niece Mary (Mckenna Grace) - in a coastal town in Florida. Frank’s plans for a normal school life for Mary are foiled when the seven year old’s mathematical abilities come to the attention of Frank’s formidable mother Evelyn (Lindsay Duncan) whose plans for her granddaughter threaten to separate Frank and Mary. Octavia Spencer plays Roberta, Frank and Mary’s landlady and best friend. Jenny Slate is Mary’s teacher, Bonnie, a young woman whose concern for her student develops into a connection with her uncle as well. - Krátké a kreslené filmy
The expression she had when he said You don't know what Ad Nauseum means, looks like someone needs school was really funny.
@Christopher Bingham dude I think you missed the point
@Christopher Bingham That you missed the point.
The point that you missed
@Christopher Bingham The point is that she was reluctant to go to school, and he was trying to persuade her that she needed to. I think he came up with a clever trick. She stopped arguing at that point, so it seems that it worked.
@Christopher Bingham I thought you were arguing about the man's "logic". Nothing in your reply to me is relevant to the question of his reasoning.
But to address what you say, he had used a phrase that Mary didn't understand, so she was on the back foot. There was nothing to indicate that she thought he was being stupid at that point. Your speculation about what she might have been thinking is not grounded in anything that we see on screen.
Your second, rather longer paragraph, seems to be an entirely irrelevant tangent. The scene we are commenting on is set before Mary goes to school, so the events that occur at school cannot have a causal role in the motivations of the characters in this scene.
She looks like a little sabrina spellman so adorable hahah
ae ikr
She plays young Sabrina 😂
True.
@Christopher Bingham well 2 years ago!!
If memory serves me right, there was a whole birthday montage scene from when Sabrina was a baby all the way until she turned 16 or 18 of CAOS S4 Last Episode so I think she did play young Sabrina
I really love how the little girl acted upon discovering that VEEERRY SPECIAL breakfast made by Chris Evans. I really love their relationship! 😍😍😍
that product placement couldn't be ANYMORE obvious
Thats pretty idiotic considering that wasnt even a real product
uh Special K is a real cereal. Also, I always wondered why product placement bothered people. I mean you can't try to set something in the real world and then pretend like McDonalds doesn't exist
@@EX7Sonic Product placement isn't just making the world of the film look like the real world. Product placement is shoving the product in your face and briefly turning the film into an advert for that product. Or, at least, that is how it comes across sometimes. It can be very clunky and can jolt you out of the fictional world that you were immersed in. It can ruin a film.
@@omp199 What is worse at jolting you is when they use fake products - for instance if that Special K box was a Special J box.
@@ngc-fo5te Maybe. But they could have made a fake product that looked as generic as they liked, with a very generic-sounding product name, so that it didn't stand out and give anyone a jolt.
“I look a disney character”
you both are lol
The irony that this is FOX before Disney....
If you're looking for an escape, something to make you feel like all is NOT lost...this
movie is for you. This film really is "special".
you've earned my respect,, this movie is "special''
Seems like a hard movie to watch. I dislike seeing kids that are unhappy. Reminds me of my childhood.
@@NihongoGuy It's one of my favorites. Without giving any 'spoilers,' I'll just say it has a somewhat difficult third act, but I believe you'll like the resolution at the end.
,, I look like a Disney character "
*Sad Steve Rogers noises *
😂
🤣🤣😂
Oh, that look on her face when he turns to cereal box around ... it's the sure sign of how mature she is. That's the one my daughter sees on my granddaughter's face all the time now that she's a teenager. LOL.
Cap has fought Nazi's, he has fought Aliens, he has fought Killer Robots, now he faces his greatest challenge yet: a 7 year old girl
don't make fun of 7 year old girls. they are truly scary.
they are manipulative and have mind control powers.
He can also engulf himself in flames at will, fly, and come back like nothing happened.
*Nazis. Why an apostrophe? I hate them with a passion!
@@WilliamWizer they are also ticklish and like fluffy little animals
Mckenna Grace is such a good actress, especially for her age in this movie.
She has a very kind and mature personality as well, especially for her age. You should see her interviews
Miss Grace is just so sweet.
nah his job is being captain america
Shmaptan shmerica
@@invertedtriangle8153 I understood that reference
Feels like Johnny's attitude with Steve's duty. LOVE IT!
Even if you only learn that you hate school, you can still learn something at school.
Loved this scene!
This was a REALLY good movie. My favorite kind. The good guys win in the end.
I watched this movie, GIFTED, last night.
I enjoyed the hell of it! I laughed! I cried! I said "WOW!" out loud five times at the "WOW" moment!
I chuckled again today whenever I thought about the school bus incident and the encounter with the teacher outside of school.
Imagine her and young Sheldon in a room together!
Bazinga? (Paige, Young Sheldon)
She is, her name is Paige in young Sheldon season 2
SAME THOUGHTS LOL. i'm wondering how long it would take before the room explodes 😂
She’d probably punch him in the face.
All her Netflix shows are being a smart person
Young sheldon
Fuller house
But gifted is a emotional movie.
This was a nice movie. Ending is very predictable from the moment you find out the main conflict, but it's really the best way to think about what gifted kids need.
I don’t know what the hell this is but my god Chris is GORGEOUS
Ohhhh....now I get why she asked the teacher that, I forgot about this scene lol
McKenna grace looks soo cute!!!
Cute scene.
I thought he said he taught her everything he knows, though
He didn't want to teach her ad nauseam !
Mini kiernan shipka
Rachel berry lol that’s EXACTLY what I thought 😂
Funny thing is, she played another very gifted child in the Young Cooper series!
And Phoebe in _Ghostbusters: Afterlife._ McKenna Grace has made a career out of playing smart girls.
Great movie.
Until things change, yes ad nauseum
I like how Frank tricks Mary into having breakfast. I swear Frank is smarter than Mary. He tricked Mary into having breakfast, He knew something Mary didn’t and made his point that she belongs to school. What a smart guy.
lolol she nailed that eyeroll @ 0:32 had all the 'tude of a teenager fed up with your s**t.
Beautiful movie.
I don’t like Chris Ewans, but I sure love the characters he plays and how good he plays them and this one is probably my favorite.
omg i just remembered that
"ad nauseum" is actually the bonus answer for my midterm
Interesting that she plays a genius here, and then later as Paige in Young Sheldon she basically plays the same character.
Any gifted one can be out-clevered hahaha
She should have said "see, you haven't taught me everything yet. checkmate, cap"
Nice to see the FAAA making a difference in the world.
(Feline Affirmative Action Act)
She would have been the PERFECT Annabeth Chase for the Disney Plus series if it had happened a few years earlier. Unfortunately, she’s too old now.
honestly she could probably still pass as 12 😭 ik he wasn’t casted
Так оказалось, что это один из моих любимых фильмов!
School is a four letter word 😂
i will use ad nauseam while arguing with my teacher
ad Nauseam, until you get sick of it xd
Why is this girl literally in EVERYTHING
You keep using this word. I do not think it means what you think it means.
❤❤❤
Special breakfast 😂
I haven't seen the movie yet
Please see its a beautiful movie
I like this commercial
0:10 that's adorable
Any idea what's the music name in the background?
bro Paige came a long wayyy!
Haha special breakfast
The RBF is strong with this one.
Prodigy
0:23 Was that goose 🙄
@ 1:09 You will learn about nauseam going to public school refrence
0:22 GOT DANG WHAT TO THAT CATS EYE
It's a paid actor
???
What about the cat? That cat is still beautiful in everyway.
@@kayladragneelnalu they never said the cat was ugly, they were just asking what happened to the eye
@@geehon360 I literally commented that 2 years ago haha.
Then she goes to school and uses Trachtenberg for some mental maths and her teacher's like, "OMG A GENIUS!!!", when pretty much anyone that can concentrate for a minute can learn Trachtenberg and use it, yes, even 7 year olds that are bright enough. Turns out she actually *was* a genius anyway, but that bit always stood out to me as a wth moment.
Is beautyfull McKenna Grace 😛
Yep
Product placement with a twist! 😄 (see what I did there?)
When will this full movie come in youtube?
That’s illegal lmao, it’ll get taken down and the channel will probs get a strike
@@user-ze8fr9wq1t CZcams has full movies on it, some are free with ads, others you rent or buy
Good question: What is Ad Nauseam?
Amanda Ramos it means to discuss something to the point where it makes you sick. That’s where we get the phrase “I’m sick of hearing/talking about this”
I had no idea Captain America had a kid
Me: I still don't know what is "Ad nauseam"🤣🤣
It means "in front of the cat for too long"
It’s basically when a person keeps on repeating the same thing until it becomes annoying or boring
Dont' list to Arjun. It actually means too many ads make you nauseous. Yeah, that's it.
It means "until you get nauseous".
By the way, what's ad nauseam?
What happened to the cats eye
its little tonya harding
Is this an ad?
What's "Ad Nauseam" anyway?!
Asps nad nauseam means repeatedly
That’s Paige.
This girl looks like my friends little sister
Nice.
Captain america?! What are you doing here?
That is a little boy.
Oh look, another movie made with anti-captain America! 😂
Omg she would totally destroy young sheldon, especially in math
Always never complete the request. Add Nauseam to what?
It's "ad nauseam", not "add nauseam". It's a Latin phrase. Nobody is adding anything to anything!
@@omp199 Oh Kaye, eye GUESStm ewe awre knot gettin' it.
You look beautiful lol
Look at the size of her lashes! are those natural?
I refuse to believe Hollywood would lash out at a little girl. She's supposed to be 5 in this movie.
I don't know about her eyelashes, if that's what you mean, but be aware that to lash out at someone means to physically attack them.
I went to school and I don't even know what that means. Thank goodness for Google. I don't need to learn so long as technology learns for me. Like calculators.
When Internet, wifi, and technology break down, I'll hibernate until it comes back on.
Music name??
I feel bad for the cat and the dad
Just saying but a higly reccomend watching the movie like on fmovies
Sorry,I’m only 9...what is that?

She looks like Paige in young Sheldon
Same actress.
Her dad was President of the United States. She has high standards 😂
🍟🐨🌏 i only buy food that's shown on movies. Keith Australia
I know what it means but I totally sucks at maths...
Hee hee
Sponsored by K original cereal
Is she paige from young Sheldon?
Yes
At* not ad
@Christopher Bingham I've always heard and read it as 'at', might just be different regions say it differently. Although looking at it now, ads do make me nauseous when there's alot of them so i can see why 'ad' would make sense XD.
@@mightymacaque Are you joking? "Ad nauseam" is Latin. And no, different regions of the US do not have different Latins!
@@omp199 not everyone lives in the US :)
@@mightymacaque True. I'm not even in the US, myself. I don't know why I assumed you were talking about the US. It was silly of me. Maybe the film put me in that frame of mind. Or maybe mistaking "ad" for "at" just seemed like the sort of thing that only an American would do.
@@omp199 fair enough lol
Dad jokes
You not know what ad nauseam means. check mate.
The musical score doesn't fit the scene
P
is this a Marvel thing?
I LOOK LIKE DISNEY CHARACTER😑
What do you want with me?
ad nauseum : referring to something that has been done or repeated so often that it has become annoying or tiresome.
