- Nireeksha is a period film based on true incidents and urban legend.
The fictional part is based on an urban legend and the tragic event which happens to NGO worker is based on true incident,
This short story stitches both seamlessly.
Director quotes "I was a kid when this incident took place in my neighborhood village & I didn't know what to do, I was too young to understand & react!
That incident went unreported even though many villages around knew about it,
This movie is reflection of my thoughts over that incident.
My helplessness at that age even haunts me today"
This movie was shot in remote villages of western-ghats in 2018.
Team tried to bring the good old 90s feel on screen by experimenting with warm lighting, costumes and properties.
Film also captures the contemporary events such as Talent migration and
Urbanization (that began in Malnad during 90s ) in its subtle layer.

Excellent direction. Because it is a true story, it is good. First we have to give respect to women. This value only comes from the younger age under the good guidance from parents and well wishers. One has to think that they are not alone, they have their sisters, elder or younger. Just born as human is not sufficient, behave like a human in life and be a model for the younger generation to come. Sad to see what has happened to Neeraksha. Let her soul rest in peace. I was moved very much by story and to see that it is a true story I was really shocked. She is doing a good job by removing the bad elements from the society and thereby saving lots of women.

Super suspense thriller movie. How the master was lucky to live with the spirit of neeraksha for his good deeds. Whomever the person she comes in contact are killed by her for their bad action. Here the neeraksha is been killed by the persons in the Maruthi Omni with whom she took the drop. The neeraksha character in the movie was taking the revenge for the men who had spoiled her image.
It is a nice message film. It is a based on the incident which would have occurred in shimoga district. Excellent cinematography. Super acting by the neeraksha actress and also the government school master. Overall it is a good movie. Well done guys. U rock. I recommend the audience to watch the movie as it is a message oriented film.
