How To: Camoflage Netting

  • I have been scoping out various places that had those pieces of cut camaflage netting and they were always rediculasly expensive for the size that they were. I decided to find out how they were cut and make my own.
    You can use pretty much any kind of fabric for this, but a lightweight fabric would be best for ease of cutting. Landscaping fabric would be ideal, but this nylon was what I had on hand at the time.

    Thanks for the video. I really needed extra shade where the wind blows a lot so I did this to some folded canvas. I was able to cut through 12 layers with Chinese upholstery scissors.

    Camo netting is expensive because it is rip stop and it is very tedious to make the even cuts which allow sections to rise up when scrunched or stretched, giving an appearance like leaves. What you produced is only good if you weave vegetation through it, in other words it is not much different than just 1-2" square netting as far as pragmatic value.

    That’s not a lovely piece of netting, it has waaaaay to mush shine to it what will give away your position
