Making Whale Tail Tabs With Circle Punches

This is how I make whale tail tabs without having a whale tail tab punch. It’s real easy and you can make them any size. All you need is a circle punch. I also use my mini scoreboard.

Stampin Up made that punch. I had it and I paid an arm and a leg for it about 8-9 years ago. I did create a svg cutting file for the same punch and gave it away. I did it this way too. You did a good job!!

Thank you and welcome to the channel! And add a tip for making the whale tail tabs - I have found that if I’m using a 2 inch circle to make the base, a 1 1/2 inch circle gives me more of a swoop when making that tail. Does that make sense?

I have had that darn TAB punch for years and never knew or thought to use it like that to make the two sided tab with one punch! Thank you. Now I don't need to fiddley-doo with gluing 2 separate pieces back to back on a page. What a pain that was! THANKS!!!! LaurieO

Thanks! Yes the ‘original’ (?) Whale Tail punch is Stampin’ Up. Another viewer said it could be purchased through Temu. I have no experience with Temu so I can’t speak to its durability or functionality.
