This song is so powerful. This really matches a lot of struggles in society. It was originally used for the Civil Rights Movement in ‘Hairspray’, then Unique, being the queen that she is, used it for empowering transgender people. That seems powerful to me. The song had so much weight, and you can tell this means a lot to that choir of 300 trans americans, and Unique.

I'll go ahead and say it, I am a straight black man, but I'm also a fan of vocal excellence and of this show. But I must admit this song touched me greatly, n a way that I couldn't really relate to(but given that I'm a black person who has has to relate to peple in media that I didn't naturally relate to, it shouldn't have been as hard). And given that I was always an ally to the LGBTQIA+ community(because again, if you think about it I should be able to relate), this performance still touched me in a way that most would say it shouldn't since I'm not a member of the community. But just the phrase " I know, where I've been".........I know what 've been through, I know what I've seen, how could I not relate to that? How could I not understand that? So though I'm not one of you, I can with earnestness say I know where you've been, because I know where I've been, and while different paths, it's still the same road

pra mim essa é uma das mais maravilhosas canções interpretadas em Glee por causa da beleza da voz do ator e da mensagem que a canção passa, e ainda tem a voz do coral que parece acender uma bela luz dentro de nós

An amazing rendition of an extremely difficult piece to sing. I have sung in a choir of more than 300 voices. It is an experience you just do not forget.
