Sorry about some of the cuts in the video. Overall there was about an hour of footage from the cars I drove and I wanted to make sure the video didn't go on too long.
I definitely needed to work on mid corner speed. It was hard to get my brain around the grip the car had, especially when i'm used to having zero G feel in the sims.
Very cool Jimmy! I started watching your videos 6 months ago and have fully immersed myself into sim racing since. Love your content and hope to race you some day. Cheers from the USA!
Grab yourself some sticky tyres for the Z and and go pick some B-roads.
i'm still driving a turd with tyres worth more than the car. I have no regrets. It keeps me grounded in regards of what lateral g-forces feel like at the times where I'm not riding a motorcycle.
You'll nail it Jimmy. Practice makes perfect.
who told you that we don't like long videos?
Nice one Jimmy. You'll have to get that siren sound as an option for stream donations.
Jimmy Broadbent you are aware that Senna raced at Mondello in 82, right?
*Jimmy doesn't talk and concentrates* : Slow lap
*Jimmy describes everything he does while driving* : Finally makes a good lap
True Jamble Wangleborg experience
Incredible how he does that lmao
I noticed that also.
Every time he drives for real he doesn’t get into it unless he’s describing the lap.
I've noticed in sim racing I'm the same way, in real life on track its the opposite for me..Lol
Pushing the car and the helmet to its limits. Inspiring
THICC BRIT POUNDS YOUNG GERMAN'S REAR END IN JUICY IRISH HILLS
Dammit I didn't think of that @@phwaedih
Comment winning boy here! 😂👏🏻
I do the same. As soon as I concentrate on something different and let my "subconcious" drive, I get better laptimes
"Young German "STEP" sister." Now it's top trending on pornhub.
That instructor was awesome. No unnecesary comments, just the strictly necessary info. Very cool guy, and overall an awesome video.
Agreed. I'd like to think this is good advertising for them.
not like ALL THE WAY ALL THE WAY
SAMIR YOURE BREAKING THE CAR
ALL THE WAY ALL THE WAY ALL THE WAY
True. He knows that Jimmy is an experienced driver and doesn't need unnecessary instructions.
Sooo happy for u getting all these amazing opportunities
DieselDan09 I came here looking for this comment because same
couldnt say it any better...i´m happy for you, cause i know (im sure) you love it Jimmer! :-)
Adjust brake bias forward, activate DRS, Hit the KERS and don't forget the drink button. Gotta stay hydrated.
They made Mondello Park from NFS Pro Street into a real thing lmaoooooo
It kinda sucked on pro street tho. those tight corners sucked and it was sorta better to just yeet it
GT Legends had mondello park also, it was the first track in the championship.
@Funky das antigas Catᴼᴿᴵᴳᴵᴻᴬᴸ RD3 is where the AC track comes from aswell, apparently
Thy made Mondello Park from the British Superbike Championship, British Touring Car Championship and Formula 3 into a NFS thing lmao.
*HOW*
Really warms my heart to see you have the opportunity to experience these things, although admittedly it does also make me very jealous.
Keep living your best life Jimmer
mate what next? Going From Sim To Reality In A 2004 BMW Williams?
Going from sim to race in Baku
Waiting for Jimmy to join SkySports as commentator. Natural talent commentator he is.
@@prarmageddon yeah he is, i can see 10 years form now, i would love it !
Cue: "Faster than a current Williams" memes
@@prarmageddon Murray Walker -> Martin Brundle -> Bamble Wanglebork.
That's the nice thing about sim racing. It's really easy to learn where a car's limits are just because you can exceed those limits and crash without consequence. Not exactly a luxury you have IRL. All you can do is push harder and hope your next push isn't so hard you finally bin it.
I'm so happy for you to get all these cool opportunities to travel, commentate and/or race now, Jimmer.
You've earned it more than anyone else.
The real life vids are my favourites!Jimmy is an inspiration
Petition for siren as new buttonbox sound
Together with X-mas birb lol
The Exclusive non shed experience
About time your getting in a real car and can experience the joy of hurling down the track.
I am formost a track day driver and sims are most to keep me at bay off season :)
Must suck being rich.
your doing great Jimmer! keep these types of videos coming, we really enjoy watching you have these opportunities!
Absolutely fantastic video! Loving following the sim to real life journey! Great content
Thank you, Jimmy. For being a sim racer getting these kinds of opportunities. It's been awesome to see the progress!
Senna raced on this track, Jimmer. Walking in the footsteps of the greats
The influencer boi! Nice to see you on track again! Keep it going!
Jimmy is living the dream! Kudos for you. 👍
What an experience, very cool Jimmy. Would love to see you doing your own track days every now and then in your own car(s). You Brits are lucky to have so many tracks so close together!
It’s so nice to see other professionals recognising a talented young professional and requesting your help Jimmy. Onwards and upwards man. Never doubted you are destined for great things.
That's so awesome how you, just an everyday guy, who's a big fan of racing and who creates CZcams content of sim racing games gets noticed by instructors or racing schools and gets invited to drive real race cars on real tracks. Super happy for you Jimmy. I'm sure it's like a dream come true for you. And you're pretty damn good at it too!!!
This is fantastic! So happy for you that you got to experience this, it's like the sim racer's dream come true. Cheers!
good on ya Jimmer!
Take advantage of all these amazing opportunities and continue to remain humble!
only been subscribed for a week or two now but I must say I'm a really big fan of the channel always gives me a good chuckle.
I love these kinds of videos, i hope theres alot more in the future
I actually bought a steering wheel (and the other bits) to learn how to drive as i have been watching your vids for awhile and had never used a steering wheel before. And now Im honestly having so much fun learning especially with VR. I never liked racing games before but for some reason your videos drew me in so thank you Jimmy for getting me into racing
Our Boi is becoming a MAAAAAAAN :D Nice Going Jimmer!!!
Ah Jimmer I was just at Mondello this weekend! Glad you're enjoying your holiday :)
Sick video man! Always good to see you behind the wheel of a proper car round a track, hopefully much more of that to come in future:) keep it up racer boi
I'm trying to save up for an M4, parting with my 330ci. That
San Marino blue is gorgeous!
You should definitely have a segment on topgear doing this different car each week would also appeal to the younger audience 👍
Awesome vid! I totally agree about the role of sim racing as one tool in your training. Without any initial thoughts of racing IRL, I put in a measly 200 hours in Dirt Rally and AC, in about a year. Then it hit me, why not try autocross, at least? So I went and drove my first event in my dorky H street class 130 HP Toyota. When I rode with some of the long-time veteran guys, or one of them coached me through a lap, I had the same experience -- brake later, gas earlier and more, push until the tires chirp and talk to you. So long as they're not screeching, you're at the limit of adhesion and staying mostly on the treads (not rolling off the tread and onto the sidewall). But the sim time felt like it prepared me for about 80% of the experience!
Really cool vid, keep up the awesome work Jimmer
Yet another video showcasing Jimmy's ability to have the biggest helmet possible.
Looks fun Jim! Track reminds me of brands without all the beaches 👍
Well done man! Driving real cars is a real rush
Formal instruction on a circuit is priceless. There are also some phenomenal multi day schools in the U.S.
Cool stuff! Can't wait to see the Miata soon as well!
I remember Mondello Park from GT Legends :D Ripping Gen 1 Mini Coopers is so fun
this place is only about 30mins from my home and i didn't even know !!!
i'll be organising a visit :D , thanks Jim
Another real life opportunity vid,nice!!
Just raced at mondello last week jimmer :) glad you enjoyed it !
Rather surprised how little Rob knew about the cars that are apart of his academy. Especially for someone who is quite a handy driver. I must say also Jimmy did amazing around a track he's never been to before, and in 2 cars that he's never driven in and never driven with so much power before (Mclaren GT4 not included). I hope you get chance to do more real life track driving.
Good in the sim and equally as good in a real car, great to watch
So nice to see that simracing CZcamsrs get to experience these kind of cars in real life!
Really good video! Congrats!
Super cool to see this video because it relates to what I do almost every day: drive my M4 Competition in real life and race on Gran Turismo Sport using mostly M6 GT3 and M4 GT4. My dream would be one day to drive the real M4 GT4 on thr Nordschleife. Happy that you getting all these opportunities from your sim races.
Nice, Jimmy in Ireland! Good shtuff!
Fantastic video once again Jimmer !
Haven't binned it! Excellent!
Fantastic Video!!
Greetings from France dude : you rule the youtube racing game
7:40 - there's a happy lad! Love the fact that you can do commentary even on the hotlap! xD Rumour has it Barometer did a 1:01 lap in the Yaris ;-)
You can't compare the lap times because barometer did the lap on the long layout of the track.
Oh how I would have laughed if Barometer did a faster lap in the Yaris than the Jimmer did in the M4? Come on, where's the footage?
LOL... 420 is gonna make everyone happy :)
Welcome to Ireland, boi...
Great instructor too.
I hoped you enjoyed Ireland, hope you come back again soon
Get in Jimmy. Love to see you go out on track in real life, as you are so sincere. Everything always looks easier from the armchair, and there is a lot of pressure in these situations, especially if your nervous. The more I have done these things, the less I worry about what the instructors think. It normally leads to one of two reactions, a bollocking for going to fast and they think you will crash, or the famous have you done this before.
The nerves i your face, priceless😆
Great video again mate💪👊
1:06 damn dude thats quick. Thats about what the lads up front in my Ginetta race there 2 weeks ago were getting.
Good to watch as usual, worth dropping Lord March a letter see if you can get into some of those nice vintage machines like the Fangio era machine you took round the Nordschleife.
Slightly hairy-chested thicc brit drives m4
Nice!!
Never heard of the track.
Its really cool to see you in Ireland, Hopefully if you ever come back you could do a meetup im sure alot of us Irish fans would show up!
Mr Tom Waffles [Level Designer] I definitely would!
Same
It is scary to drive an actual car when a possible crash and wearing down of parts dissuade me away from pacing up. I always lack that gut to take a hot lap with my car, but the psychological pressure somehow gets relieved whenever I am on a kart at my local track.
I totally get what you mean. I think it's because Karts are more responsive and get you a better connection and feel for what's going on. With karts you can sort of dance on the edge of grip, in a road car doing this is much more scary if you ask me.
Stefan Huber I agree with both of you, I did karts my entire life, and had to pleasure of driving a formula 3000 car. I actually broke their speed limit by 20 mph and lap time by 6 seconds, I’m no f1 driver 😂 but I trusted what was brought out of the garage, or even trusted what that one mechanic did to my kart before the heat. But with my Audi A4, I just don’t have the confidence... I actually get very nervous powering into a corner, I don’t trust it at all 😂 it myself I just haven’t had enough time in a true car at speed.
@@TheRealGunWhisperer I am not a dedicated racer like you, but I absolutely agree. I trust a kart at its cornering limit. A production car is never developed to withstand laps of high pace driving. If I ever drive my own car to limit with confidence, that would be after plastering tons of track-ready modifications.
Good on you Jimmer!
Nice ! Mondello is in my back garden yup ya boy ya
No one:
Jimmer : *CAN YOU NOT*
Rob the instructor is a sound fella , also runs the excellent trackdays.ie track days in mondello .
Would have liked to see Jimmy out on the full track ( that's the short loop )
Often bring my 205 rallycar up there ! ( tough on tires)😉
Neat! I live just an hour from Mondello. Been a couple times to watch rallycross
Carry on like this, you may end up as a wild card/guest driver in an actual GT/touring car race, fingers crossed anyway if it was to happen
Gooooo Jimmy!!!! BMW M4 Fan boy.
awesome stuff
Your editing style is tripping me out
Nice one Jimmy. As you're down in the South East you should consider doing the M master experience day at Brands Hatch. I did it about 5 years ago in an m3 although think they use m4s now. Great fun on an excellent track
Mondello, tricky circuit, great fun.
Who are the 18 plebs who voted this down?
Fantastic video, Jimmy. Just goes to show how close sims are to the real thing, and how useful they are for learning. This video deserves a million views.
Should of went last weekenddddd..... Actual race weekends are incredible
Cool Jimmy, that was cool!
Congrats Jimma.
Good Stuff
Shed boy doing things out of his shed that he usually does in his shed.
Get in the Jimbo, great footage.
Well done m8
Great video! 👍
Awesome sauce dude. Now they should stick 20 random people with no skill in these cars and they could teach real racers how hard sim racing actually is.
Nfs pro street, probably the last decent nfs game made...Lol and that's so awesome you got the chance to do this.
Nice idea! This is interesting. Don't do a punterino though
In the words of one of the characters in my favourite Easter film - Life of Brian "You lucky, lucky bastard"
Great Video 🤘
Going from sim to reality ooh there goes gravity ooh there goes jimmery good at the simmery
What was the name of the drivers ed software for teaching young people ? Thanks for any info.
I'm a more level soon racer and number one thing is that the top guys brake later than me. If rear starts to wiggle they got fast hands and can clean it up on entry
Jimmer you should have caned it! given it the full beans with extra sauce! and show your true skill. But it's still an enjoyable video
I was pretty nervous tbh, driving circuits IRL is still fairly new to me.
AYYYYY 42O BLAZE IT JIMMER🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽
Dang wish I knew you were coming over, would have loved to buy you an actual pint.
what a great video
I like your video’s!!
