INSTANT POT OLD-FASHIONED OATMEAL WITH APPLES, MAPLE SYRUP, AND CINNAMON | EASY AND QUICK TO FIX

- This is such a GREAT recipe for old-fashioned oatmeal. Fixed in the Instant Pot makes it a simple and very easy recipe to pull together. Top it off with your favorite extras! Make extra to have on hand for busy mornings.
JILL’S INSTANT POT OLD-FASHIONED OATMEAL WITH APPLES, MAPLE, AND & CINNAMON
3 CUPS WATER
2 1/4 CUPS OLD-FASHIONED ROLLED OATS
½ CHOPPED APPLE (I used Fuji)
¼ CUP MAPLE SYRUP
½ TEASPOON CINNAMON
SCANT ½ TEASPOON SALT
INSTRUCTIONS:
Add all ingredients to the Instant Pot. Stir to combine all ingredients
Place the lid on the IP, making sure the pressure control is on “SEALED.”
Set the IP to MANUAL, 6 minutes.
After the cooking time is over, let the pot natural release for 5 minutes. Then you can quick release
Open the pot - smell the goodness!
Garnish the Oatmeal with your favorites: dried cranberries, nuts, raisins, flax seed meal, coconut, etc.
NOTE: You are welcome to leave the apple out - it will not affect the end result of the cooked oatmeal

Easy peasy! I’ve only used the instant pot for steel cut oats but I will be making the old fashioned for the kids. It will be a big help indeed 😄❤️
They are good. We prefer the rolled oats vs the steel cut from the IP.
