So they just invited a bunch of people from around and told them to go crazy and just have fun. More than that - they shot the video n two days and at the end of the first day all of them ended up drunk as hell plus they were extremely sore the next day from partying like crazy so they had their team rubbing them with IcyHot and they spent the entire second day of shoot sore and with a really bad hangover. So everything you see happening in this video is 100% legit (nothing was staged) and it’s just a big ass 2 day block party.
Miss Granny Hayes on the videos hope she recovers soon but it is a treat having your granddaughter on helping out bringing behind the scenes to the front a true family affair. Nothing but love to the Granny Gang

Yeah, they were definitely more pop-punk at the beginning (or even in the middle, god knows Underclass Hero tried too hard to be Green Day) but the influences and flavourings of other genres were there. Although the majority of their catalog I would say is more heavier then this pop punk sound from this record. Their roots are in heavy metal. You guys would probably enjoy the heavy stuff more as I do too. We're All to Blame, No Reason 88, Still Waiting, Screaming Bloody Murder, Blood in my Eyes, Goddamn Im dead again, 45, out for Blood are some heavier songs. Underclass Hero is a fun song too. Pieces and Walking Disaster are really good too. Love them! Keep Rocking Grannies!

Sum-41 are so great. There was actually a time when fans thought the lead singer had been kicked out because they made some music without him, but it turned out he wanted them to keep making music while he was recovering in the hospital. (I don't recall what was wrong with him, but he was in and out of the hospital for a few years at that time, apparently)
I listened to Sum 41 all the time in my high school years and thereabouts. They are a great high energy group, and as you said, I think fun is a great word to describe a lot of their music.

this band snuck my friend's mom into Warped Tour when I was in high school. Granted, where we were, it wasn't all that difficult to sneak into warped tour if you were willing to swim, but Sum 41 let her in through the area where the buses and vans were parked.
I would also recommend listening to In too deep - Sum 41, High School never Ends - Bowling for Soup, Girl all the bad guys want - Bowling for Soup, All the Small things - Blink 182, The Rock Show - Blink 182, Crashed the wedding - Busted, Year 3000 - Busted.

Super relevant, played songs for a bunch of movies too such as American Pie, Dude where’s my car too I think. They are still around and produce music, but their old stuff still grasps more attention Everyone who’s in their 20s or teens has heard them or of them. I’m surprised she hasn’t. This very song was a hit in the UK about 15 years ago. It's the only Sum 41 song I've heard, and it holds memories that cause a smile. Like it ? yeah I like it. Fun back then and still fun now. Me and my kids would sat glued to a TV music video channel, and we'd all like the same ones. Well, they've all grown up, and moved on in life. I still love music video channels. Sum 41 is still relevant today, their modern songs are less fun, more punk (but they still kick so much ass) and still one of my favs. I'd like if you react to more sum 41! They filmed this by randomly posting that they need whoever can come join them on the set. It wasn't planned or anything. They just asked people to do random stuff and the director filmed it all xD

Sum 41 is still making amazing music today, their last few albums are awesome. Couple of recent good ones are out for blood and also the track war. They're a good mix of blink 182 style of pop punk and metal

I actually do love Sum 41. I have them on a couple of playlists that I use when I need to get pumped up to do something. Even their depressing songs , because they do go deeper at times.

Also, they still make music now and IMO their last album was excellent, although their drummer is different. The guy drumming here is now a real estate agent, last I checked.
I think that what makes Sum 41 stand out from all the other bands that blew up in the pop-punk genre in the early 2000's, is that they went on to a slightly darker sound, with even some metal influence. I would recommend you to check out some of their more recent tunes, to campare to this. Perhaps the song "Blood in my eyes" which really contrasts to something " just fun" (especially the video (warning?)) but it's such a good song, though.
Just like blink-182, sum 41 were another huge influence on me as a musician. I would love to hear your thoughts on some of their newer songs, which have a much more metal-oriented sound. You should check out the song ‘Out for blood’ by sum 41 (a song off of their latest album)
So many meomories comes to mind now. I use to listen to sum 41 a lot back in the early 2000s and it was the second band i ever discovered after Rammstein. Stopped listening after the album Underclass Hero (an album i liked) but still listen to them sometimes on Spotify. The drummer in the video Stevo is no longer a part of the band and the lead guitar Dave left the band for some years and then came back. When Dave came back they decided not to kick the replacement Tom. One of many great punk/alternativ bands from the early 2000s. Good times.

I'd suggest still waiting by sum 41. They are technically considered pop/punk and I love em. They were popular in the early 2000's but recently had a new album released.
If I could recommend a song, it doesn't have a music video, but Laura Jane Grace and the Devouring Mothers "Amsterdam Hotel Room" or "I Hate Chicago" if you want a song with a music video. I love Laura's music, and she has been an inspiration to me for a long time. ("Laura Jane Grace and the Devouring Mothers" is her solo act band, she is usually the lead singer of a Punk Rock band called "Against Me" which I would also love to see you react to.)

This very song was a hit in the UK about 15 years ago. It's the only Sum 41 song I've heard, and it holds memories that cause a smile. Like it ? yeah I like it. Fun back then and still fun now. Me and my kids would sat glued to a TV music video channel, and we'd all like the same ones. Well, they've all grown up, and moved on in life. I still love music video channels. LOL

Sum 41 is still making amazing music today, their last few albums are awesome. Couple of recent good ones are out for blood and also the track war. They're a good mix of blink 182 style of pop punk and metal

I think that what makes Sum 41 stand out from all the other bands that blew up in the pop-punk genre in the early 2000's, is that they went on to a slightly darker sound, with even some metal influence. I would recommend you to check out some of their more recent tunes, to campare to this. Perhaps the song "Blood in my eyes" which really contrasts to something " just fun" (especially the video (warning?)) but it's such a good song, though.

Just like blink-182, sum 41 were another huge influence on me as a musician. I would love to hear your thoughts on some of their newer songs, which have a much more metal-oriented sound. You should check out the song ‘Out for blood’ by sum 41 (a song off of their latest album)

So many meomories comes to mind now. I use to listen to sum 41 a lot back in the early 2000s and it was the second band i ever discovered after Rammstein. Stopped listening after the album Underclass Hero (an album i liked) but still listen to them sometimes on Spotify.
The drummer in the video Stevo is no longer a part of the band and the lead guitar Dave left the band for some years and then came back. When Dave came back they decided not to kick the replacement Tom.
One of many great punk/alternativ bands from the early 2000s. Good times.

If I could recommend a song, it doesn't have a music video, but Laura Jane Grace and the Devouring Mothers "Amsterdam Hotel Room" or "I Hate Chicago" if you want a song with a music video. I love Laura's music, and she has been an inspiration to me for a long time.
