It will be a sad, sad, sad day when Willie passes on. It’s hard to imagine a world without Willie, his songs and his voice. He’s pretty much outlived the best of the best. But unlike most of them he never had to have a career resurgence. He stands the test of time.

You know what's crazy?? My father is the soldier taking the shot in this music video. John Danny Martinez. Willie smoked a joint with him in his dressing room. My dad was the best Tejano music DJ in Austin Texas in the early 90s..Willie knew his manager and qas asked to be the lead extra...anyways #Willienelson that was my daddy. He passed now but great memories

Willie was amazing I wish that I could have met him. I probably would have passed out with the excitement. If the greatest Country singer's especially Willie which would have been sitting on the bus with a great big joint in his mouth. That would have been the best memory of my life. They would have to peel me off that bus. I have no doubt then that you would have been with a great man not just any old country singer's I have always loved him and he wrote and sang and I believe he was an awesome person.

This version doesn't even touch Towns performance of this wonderful song. It's sad that such a great song writer never got the glory he deserved. There's a documentary on him called heartworn highways that's a testament to his talent, you should check it out.

I like this song in its original slower version better, it's a beautiful song so no need to rush it.
