    Steins gate is the best! Not sure if I missed it in the video but this anime seems to also take heavy inspiration from the supposed time traveler John Titor, who is mentioned many times in the show but actually existed in real life. The game goes into more detail with the time travel stuff as well!
    Anyway i always preach my love for steins gate so its really cool to see people get into it 👍

      I could be mistaken, but he probably was asked to give his initial thoughts on the show and was probably requested/insisted up and down to watch it in the sub since that’s the most plausible notion for me. The visual novel goes more in-depth into the physics and explanation of the time travel and I very much recommend it over the anime. Steins Gate to this day is my favorite time-travel story. The way it loops back around and all makes sense in the end is brilliant, while the manic main-character also allows for other interpretations (mainly that it was all his insane delusions). Okarin in general is a great character, as he starts out being equally misunderstood by his surroundings as well as the viewer, but the longer the viewer accompanies him, the more the viewer starts to understand him, while also loosing touch with the supporting cast. Simply great.

      also It's actually getting a live action adaptation made by skydance television (same people who made jack ryan and altered carbon which is an interesting choice considering) not much has been heard about it since it was announced as a 10th anniversary project I'd imagine that it's gotten pushed back a lot because of covid.

    Late to the party - but there's actually something they 'semi' justify the spagetification problem later on with how they use the mini black holes for time travel, and address the issue of sending someone through one. not saying its not still impossible but they make it a little more believably feasible to how it all works. Won't say what it is in case you're wanting to watch the show for fun, notice there isn't a part 2 yet so not sure if you watched any more.

    Steins Gate just blew my mind once again. I already knew that the scream, from episode one, coming from Christine, is actually Okabe's when he shoved the knife to make more blood, but I did not know whenever Okabe, also in episode one, goes up to the roof and sees the time machine. The same time machine that allows future Okabe to travel to the past stopping Christine's death and also not changing world lines. So awesome

    I'd really like to know your thoughts on parts of the first new Star Trek movie, because I know time travel is included in it but I don't remember how it was presented; also, there's something called "red matter" in the movie, which is used to create black holes three times (to my recollection): the first instance of which was used to attempt to neutralize a supernova. The second use was dropping an amount of the substance into the core of a planet to consume it from the inside. The third was the result of a very large amount of the substance being released after the destruction of a spacecraft housing it, after being rammed into the inside of a hostile craft, resulting in a much larger singularity than the first two instances WITHIN our solar system near Jupiter. So my first question is if red matter actually exists and would actually be able to create black holes (although I suspect that this is just sci-fi make-believe). My second question is the one I'm far more interested in: I'm not a physicist, but I'm pretty sure you couldn't make a singularity the size of a very large asteroid in the middle of our solar system at least some effect on it, especially considering that it didn't immediately collapse. What kinds of effects would this situation produce? Also, the ship which was struck was bisected by the singularity, but took (what seemed like to me) a very long time to be consumed by it, and the crew inside that ship didn't seem to be as affected as I would imagine by what I'm sure were massive gravitational forces. What amount of time would it actually take for this ship to have been consumed, and would the crew have survived as long as they did in the scene? Thank you in advance if you read this 🙏

    Very interesting video, thank you! In the anime, they actually get into the whole "spaghettification process" which would happen if you were to physically try to cross a kerr black hole, though they call it "gel"-ification! Later in the show they also get into how to deal with this problem. I would actually be very interested in knowing if their solution could theoretically hold up! Steins;Gate remains the most innovative, realistic, logical(?) time travel story I've ever seen.

    Oh wow this is really cool that you are reacting to Steins;Gate. This was really interesting and informative. You will definitely have to watch the whole series though to truly take in the absolute awe of the whole thing. TRUST ME, IT’S WORTH IT. If you want you should skip forward to the episodes with the ‘IBM 50 100’ computer. They use that to hack into CERN because it runs on the old (now obsolete) Proprietary System rather than modern Basic, which allows them to gain access to SERN who also only use that system for encrypting their information. After that, the story really gets going fast and even more exciting in the way in which only this series can do.

    Well part of Steins;Gate is that they only send through a message or a person's memories via radio waves or microwaves or something? I can't remember exactly, but if they use a phone I'm assuming it's radio waves. At least that's what they do at first. So therefore, the needed size of the Kerr black hole may be a lot less in this case.

  • @aestar9711
    @aestar9711 Před 3 lety

    Hello! I'm hope you saw all Steins;Gate as maybe you see spoilers: in anime black hole mass problem solution is not found (How work Suzuha and SERN time machines isn't explained but they same as phonewave and time-leap machine), physical time travel turn you into jellyman, but phonewave can send in past 36-bit (+alpha) message and time-leap machine can send to 48 hours in past your memory (Kurisu wrote article for the "Science" about converting memory to electronic signals and helped Maho make Amadeus (AI)). Black hole from SERN's LHC is use to compress memory data to 36-bit (+alpha) and then send same as D-mail by means telephone call. It takes +- couple seconds.
