This is a high-quality interview; you've earned a subscriber! I feel compelled to share a recent experience I had with Devialet. I purchased two damaged units with the hope of repairing them and reached out to Devialet for assistance. Unfortunately, the representative I spoke with was arrogant, insisting that the units were irreparable without special tools exclusive to their company. He requested the serial number for one of the units, suggesting there might be a slight chance of repair. However, when I inquired about the necessity of the serial number (given his previous claim that nothing could be done), he admitted there was no specific reason for needing it. Fast forward to today: I've successfully repaired the speakers using custom-molded carbon fiber for the damaged parts. Strangely, I'm unable to update the unit whose serial number I provided, leading me to suspect it has been intentionally blocked from their update servers. It's one thing to discourage self-repairs, but entirely another to be arrogantly dismissive about it, especially knowing that the only tool required to open these units is a 12mm socket wrench and every component inside is modular and plug-and-play.

Thank you for the kind words about the video I am pleased that you found it insightful! With regards to the broken units, I know that Devialet take their manufacturing process very seriously, most of their products are not only designed in house but also build at their facility in France rather than outsourced internationally. They have a dedicated team of repair engineers on hand to assist with customers who experience any issues with their products (and also to help with accidental damage repairs) whereby the units go back to the same facility they were originally assembled for further work and are returned to the customer in as like-new condition as possible. We had to make use of this service after filming the video as unfortunately one of the units got damaged while packing away. In our experience, the service was quick and effective. The units came back to us in excellent condition and we found the repair team in France to be very helpful and willing to resolve the issue.

Would you recommend one to purchase their speakers?
      If yes then which one?
Also how is your listening experience with these and which one did you get

I'd buy a second Mania the second they made stereo pairing an option. I'd understand if that would make the built-in ASM feature work differently. All 4 drivers on left & right would just get essentially a mono channel. I'd think a software update could make it work.

They should update their firmware to allow pairing ohantom/iis with the dione.

I love the idea of the Devialet Mania however, I'm not sure why they didn't include the ability to stereo pair two manias. You are able to do that with the phantom class offerings. Missed opportunity in my opinion. I understand the idea of the mania is meant to be portable but when has it been bad to offer more flexibility to the consumer? That honestly is the reason I'm still saving up for two phantom II speakers. And haven't pulled the trigger on the Mania

Thanks for watching the video and for commenting. As you mention, the Mania is intended as a one box solution portable speaker. They included the 360 Degree Sound feature so that despite it only being a single speaker, you can always hear dedicated left and right channels no matter which way it is orientated.

This is all fine and dandy until you realize that the devialet mania does not have a way for Android Users to play Lossless audio, this is rather dissapointing because the end result could have been a devialet mania with an Aux In port to plug your phone in and whatever high quality files you had on your phone could be transferred to the mania, the devialet mania could have also supported UPNP/DLNA like its older brothers, the sound signature is so lovely, but yet they dropped the ball hard on the target audience of people who would be wanting this incredible speaker, tis a shame really because Iphone users have the pleasentries of Airplay 1 and airplay 2 which play lossless (most of the time its not 100% of the time it fluctuates but most of the time) i just wish there was another way of achieving the lossless qualities we have grown to enjoy over the past 38 years (1982 was when the CD was invented)

They should let you pair the phantom ii with the dione so you can have rear speakers

You'd skip the Dione and step up to a full Phantom home theatre setup.

@@sanjayrajsoni if you were going to invest in Phantom level home theatre audio it would make sense to aim for at least the "entry level" Phantom home theatre system. To my thinking the Dione is simply a "one unit" solution for people that don't have the space or funds to go further and is specifically designed to operate without other components.

Hallo Devialet an idea for you , what about to make an other model of phantom series ?
Phantom I , Phantom II and Phantom III , three different sizes and models
    For example : Phantom I 3-way 8 inch bass drivers , 5 inch mids 1 inch HF
Phantom II 3-way 7 inch bass drivers , 5 inch mids 1inch HF
and Phantom III 2-way 5.25 bass drivers , 1 inch full range driver
And if you want make more colours , imagine phantom racing red , summer green and racing blue it's fantastic idea and so attractive ! Thank you !

I heard these in a store the other day. I know you can’t always judge a speaker until you have it in your home, but that said, I wasn’t particularly impressed with the sound. It was impressive to see how loud they were and the rumbling bass they produced , but I actually thought they sounded poor to my ears. In a similar way to mega loud jbl Bluetooth speakers do.
It’s a bit like how in the digital camera world, people can get excited by megapixel count, but a leica lens on a 12mp sensor looks way nicer than a Sony lens on a 50mp sensor
