I thought swaras in sarali varisai are fixed. Is it alright to introduce manodharnam into varisais? Also is it not preferred to extend the swaras linearly in the case of audava ragas to the next octave to get 8 notes for singing sarali varisai? Eg; mohanam - srgpdsrg, grsdpgrs. Can I introduce vakra prayogams in sarali ? Wont that affect the raga moorchana itself?

These are just using sarali patterns to practice a raga. So we can improvise and do variations to improve our raga singing
