OMG I’m a Cameroonian CZcamsr who shares my Cameroonian recipes with the world and I really love this videooo!!! Puff Puff is mainly a street snack that everyone loves, especially kids because of how affordable it is. Achu is my traditional meal and I’m so happy to see you both try it! The distinctive spice in the soup is what we call achu soup spice. The yellow soup is made of the meat stock from all the meats in the achu soup, palm oil, Nikki which is made of roasted unripe plantains skin, achu soup spices, salt & Maggie to taste. Lol I was screaming nooo when you were trying the habanero cause I knew it will be spicyy! We add cooked whole habaneros in our dishes just in case someone wants it spicy or more spicy, we don’t chew it, we press it in the food cause it has a really nice flavor that adds to the foods taste. Here’s a step by step Eru recipe czcams.com/video/uPZkcQ_U2zs/video.html to see how it’s made and what it’s made of. Eru is one of my favorite Cameroonian dishes!!

The fufu is actually called water fufu in Cameroon and it is made from fermented cassava. I think the distinctive taste from the achu soup is coming from the lime stone they usually use in cooking it. Puff puff in Cameroon is usually eaten with beans and pap (bouillie in French) as breakfast.
