I love the beautiful sonority of Yundi Li playing. He has a very good feeling of Romantic Music, especially with Chopin and Liszt. Thank you very much for sharing.

    真摯に自分と向き合って、また戻ってきて欲しい。
    貴方ほど素晴らしいピアニストはいないのだから。

This interpretation aims at bringing out the potential fire and passion while most others go for tenderness. I wish i could hear another by Yundi with less mistakes since no one is playing at this speed and strength like him.

Could it be the Lang Lang effect - the rubato, the skipped notes, the tendency for effect rather than substance?
Yundi is such a different pianist from the flamboyant performer. He should stay true to himself. Be yourself Li Yundi!

Someone spoke of speed. Look closely and you will see him swallow a yawn. I think he had a very busy schedule and needed some sleep. But he wasn't short of power and passion and depth.

He obviously had a train to catch judging by the pace he played it.

There's a lot of controversy over the horrendous "cut" Yundi made in this, not to mention several clunkers and messy passagework. Notice before he starts the piece he flexes his left hand a few times. I wonder if he was having a problem with it. Perhaps that's what led him to cut it short and hurry through it..the fear he might break down before getting to the end.

Is this perhaps a different version of the piece? I believe Liszt had written two transcriptions of Widmung

Jeez this is not even the same recording he apparently did in the other youtube video it's like a completely different person played it. Skipped half the piece I don't get it maybe he had to really use the bathroom lol

I love all Yundi's music except this one.. In pop music, some singers usually try to sing a song in a weird way to make it different from other singers or their own album. It seems to me Yundi is trying to do that? in pop music, I am fine with that. but in classic music, the way he did.. ah..

En effet, la mélodie souffre de cette vitesse excessive.

if you compare this to his recording it is so bad that one could think it is two different people playing

What is he doing here? Deserves a boo! No comparison with lang Lang's interpretation which is romantic and heart stopping.

Don't really understand why Yundi has to play it so fast. Seems he is in a rush. Not very impressed.
