I've worked for others in the past that ran nothing but echo and shindaiwa. They are good machines but I've always run stihl. I've never had any issues with them other than the occasional coil going out. That's happens to all of them. The fs91r in this video was 6 years old before it broke, and it was "still" running good. Can't ask for more than that.

Nice purchase, hope it is serving you well. I have a KM130R that I’ve had for years and it’s running great. Going back to your video, I think I know what the plastic sleeve is for on the trimmer.
You can get a shoulder strap for these trimmers, but I’ve also seen a harness that they use with the bull handle ones that’s different than most I’ve seen. The way that the trimmer connects to the shoulder harness I’m talking about is a short clip that is just below your waist on the side (right or left side). On those harnesses, there is a plastic shield behind that clip that goes against your body (maybe 8 inches square) so the trimmer isn’t bouncing against your body when you are using it. I think that plastic sleeve on Stihl trimmers is a shaft protector so the aluminum shaft doesn’t wear out when rubbing against the plastic shield on that specific style of shoulder harness.
I watched a video a while back with someone using that style of harness. His trimmer didn’t have that sleeve and, from heavy use, he ended up wearing a hole through his trimmers shaft body to the point of the square drive shaft being exposed.

@stephenparchewski1998 Thanks for watching. Iveseen those straps and shields at the dealer, but no one around here that I've ever seen use them. I love this 131 R even though it's sometimes hard to crank, i.e., it's got a lot of compression.

That's not an OEM carb. Let's stick with apples to apples. An OEM Stihl carb is $38.00.
