Excellent Review! Nice fast little scooter!
Same scooter as the KUKIRIN G3 Pro and a few other rebrands. You can use the RoadRunner RS5 damper on them-- works great.
Biggest downsides is that it has tubed tires instead of tubeless-- I've blown through 5 or 6 in the last year. That said it's got a split rim system so pretty easy and quick to change tubes.
The Roadrunner RS5 is basically this scooter with tubeless tires/different motors and a better brand brakes.
Overall recommended, as fast as you probably should go on a scooter (better with the damper!). IMHO the damper REALLY helps at speed and even offroad.
I've done quite a bit of off-road with this scooter and it works great! Never blew a tire off road, but have once I got back on the trail and hit a small bump at 35+ mph, or even at 27mph (mode 2). Put slime or some other sealant in the tire so you reduce the chances of getting stuck somewhere.
You can buy 4A chargers online and run 2 of them at once if you are in a rush.
Recommended for the price, although if I could do it again I'd get the Roadrunner version for the tubeless tires.
Wow that's a lot of tubes but yea you're definitely right the split rims are super clutch when accessing the tubes. Reminded me of the Nanrobot days with the D6 lol. So far it's been super fun for a full work commute.
Tubeless tires are cool. I think slip rims are better. Same scooter as RS5. Just little different components.
Get the Rs5 Max , I regret buying my Kukirin G3 Pro 6 months ago. Inferior parts from china. Dated controls . 1200duel motor tubes tires compared to 1400 duel motor & tubeless tires.23ah scrap battery compared to 32ah LG battery ......... Plus its Blue 🔵
Rs5 is quite a bit more expensive tho too
The new Nanrobot N6 72v NFC colour display looks like an updated version of this display. Would be nice to see an updated display on these scooters now.
Great review! Excellent footage too. That was sketchy at 17:52 😅 Hope to see you out there one day!
Thanks dude! Yea man I was pushing that thing to its limit lol. Likewise bro you'll see me on the little green machine in the city
Nice video! Absolutely love the specs on the Gallop, I just reviewed it's little brother the Leopard by Ausom and loved it. Hopefully we'll be able to review this monster too.
Thanks! You'll like it especially the low end torque really gets going.
@JB360_NYC could I see more scooter videos please?
I’m getting mine this Wednesday
I’ll be riding through a few cities to get home from work
Yep I have the T88 gallop and it's 50 mph job I dig it I'm 59 and feel like a kid again.
What’s the T88?
I have a T88, I'm 58, and couldn't agree more. It's a workout that you'll enjoy every minute of. The torque alone will have you sore the first couple rides. I stretched mine 9 inches and added a rubber 30x11 deck. DeWalt themed. Love it.
@@YOUNOTSMARTit's the half dual fork yume type 5600w 60v.. also the tif Gallup look.
It’s on sale right now for $1100!
Dodging those Poles on that straightway had me on the edge of my seat.lmao 😂
Dope video.
It's a great scooter. And by the way the RS5 is made in the same warehouse. Couple components are different and different batteries.
You can probably buy the battery from roadrunner RS5 and put it in this one?
Yes it's the same battery. That's good info to know. I was looking on roadrunner scooters website I am going to order the 28 amp hour battery it only cost $800. And I'm going to put it in the gallop
Thanks for the review. I may have missed it, but does this have a damping system for steering or is it not needed at those speeds?
Not needed for these speeds but you can add one if you like. I find after 45mph are where the wobbles start to happen
you can use the Roadrunner RS5 damper on it-- works great on the clone of this I have ( Kukirin G3 Pro).
Wow a 40+ electric scooter for under 1500 is crazy!! Hopefully it lasts a long time and has good customer service at least.
Too many that are 50+mph under that amount, and are well built!! What they are selling are the looks, because it won't provide a better thrill than any other fast scooter.
@@lionelhowell4972not 100 percent accurate, I'm considering one myself and as far as I can tell they are selling you throttle stability and a solid intuitive build for a price that's lower than many scooters slower than it, I've seen some of those 50mph ones you're referring too, and most seem to be twice as sketchy as far as the rider experience, for city commuting effectively it looks optimal, everyone I see with those 50 mph scooters hit top end once and quickly realize it's best left for emergency reserve for keeping up with traffic if needed, but the experience teaches them to limit it knowing that you push to a highly accelerated boundary when it comes to sailing, steering, and necessary reaction timing, 42mph is just in the area of cleaner steering in quicker adjustment in turns in the event of an opening car door or random darting obstruction needing to be avoided, 50+ is if your ready to take on the freeway, standing up, with an angel on your shoulder or waiting for you at the end of your ride
whew... hit a hidden pothole at 40+mph and that's all she wrote
Looks like my roadrunner rs5 pro nice content 👌🏽
This & the G3 Pro are the same scooter........ Ive had the Kukirin G3 Pro for 6 months & its been A constant let down from parts failing straight out the box, loose bolts ,faulty charger, faulty controller, wrong parts sent twice from China & they use Aliexpress , dismissive customer services except 1. Wish I had bought the roadrunner RS5 Max as the 23ah non LG battery is terrible....... Says the test weight for the 80km range is 50kg(110lb) 😂 let me know when u find an adult male in Canada that weighs 110lbs.🙊
@@aptrm80 dam I know not to buy from this company lol
Is there a way I can put a Steering Damper on this?
Seems comparable with the Apollo phantom V4 - next video you should do a comparison. It seems to be a lot cheaper than the phantom here in Canada.
Love the Apollo scooters just wish they were a bit cheaper for what you're getting.
Can you do more pov’s on this scooter
Like the Nanrobot N6 with except cheaper brakes and different lights
Any recommendations on how to lock this up... I'm seriously considering buying one and would like to know some good ways to secure it if I ever needed to lock it up outside somehwere. Thanks in advance
For locking it up outside, I would look into the Hiplok D1000. It's been proven the best lock against angle grinder attacks and is pretty lightweight. It's a bit pricey but worth it for your PEV:
Hiplok D1000 Unisex U-Lock All Black Closing Area 15.5 cm x 9.2 cm a.co/d/0yg5NWf
I was thinking of getting a Solar p1 Pro which is 1800 bucks, do you think I should just get this instead?
I would say this is a definitely a good alternative to the P1, same specs, better components overall and the design is a bit more modern. I think if your budget is about 1300, Gallop is a better choice but if you have room in the budget P1 Pro for sure.
NICE
Can you adjust the height of the stam?
Unfortunately no, they have it as a fixed height stem
At least this has the hole in the frame to add the steering damper . Ill need to drill my G3 Pro😤
Looks a lot like the Nanrobot N6 😜
Somehow I can’t help but feel scared for you if an old Chinese lady cuts you off at high speed without signaling 🤪
Gotta watch out for those 😆
Man, awesome how do it rides off road?
Not too bad! Light trails it does well but any rock or heavy gravel it struggles a bit
@JB360_NYC oh ok because it looks like it has some cushy suspension and the colors pops on that beast!!!
@@E-bikeguy haha yup loving the suspension, good rebound so far
Roadrunner scooter company is going to be pissed that their manufacturers have just bootlegged their scooters 😮
Hello. Max weight is 330 lbs not 265. It's a era on the web site. It should say 330 lbs not 265.
That’s great
Where can I buy an EXTRA Removable battery pack??? I can't find any
I would probably contact Ausom support and see they might have one for purchase
You lane splitting demon 😈
🛴 💨💨💨
what a ausom scooter!
Lol
How do you keep someone from stealing that when you take it to work?
I would usually check with my supervisor and let them know I'm keeping my scooter inside and just fold it and store it under a desk.
@JB360_NYC does it really matter if you have a key
Can you buy a spare replacement battery?
I'm sure if you ask customer service they may be able to send you a replacement.
Thank you for the reply and for the video. I contacted them on their site right after posting that comment and I haven't heard back from then yet. I plan to keep checking my inbox and spam folder. It seems like a really great scooter for a good price, but I need to make sure it's serviceable before I purchase it. Batteries don't last forever and are usually the most expensive component.
Exactly the same as the Kukirin G3 PRO
This looks exactly like the kukirin g3 pro
There has to be a secret menu
They didn't even change the color from kukirin g3 pro lol
I'm about to hit 1000miles on the g3 pro. These models do the trick for the streets of NYC. Had one flat but with the split rim only a 10min easy fix
Kukirin g3pro same scooter same specs
400w x 2 does not = 40mph.
It's 1200×2
Way too fast for normal use on public roads.
JB FROM NOTOROUS DO THE SCOOTER HAS A LIMITED OR LIMITWIRE TO UNLOCK ??
Hey dude no limiter and the scooter comes fully unlocked
JB it's NOTOROUS IRBY IN NEWARK NEW JERSEY BRO you is ON A SCOOTER 😂❤❤
Great review j.b Letts go scooter just come with torque 🫡🫡🫡🫡💯✊🏽
Haha forreal bro I'll be last in the pack 😆
