Rolling Stones in their hungry years.Multi-instrumentalist Brain Jones playing sitar during the first 7 seconds like a medieval bard.Charlie Watts drumming sets the pace.Absolute best sounding I ever heard.Loved the song in 66 even on my little transistor radio. Radio Wollaton, thank you.
Love what the drums are doing towards the end, everything is so clear- I' thought the original mix was a bit of a mush. I hope you get recognition for these mixes, they're better than I've heard for sure!
You know I was already a fan of your old Stones remixes, but now you've conjured up the best version to be found. Thanks Pat and greetings from the Arctic Circle.
@@radiowollaton8521 .... and that was a good idea.... some years ago when i had heard an old Beach Boys album i had been so impressed by the power of their stereo vocals (but the most songs of them then have mono instruments...) and I have dreamed of stereo instruments AND vocals.... And now you practise it very, very well and I try my very best too....
Great remix reveals the inner strangeness of this track. Perverted surf music! My favourite Charlie performance; and Bill’s weird antics too. What happens when Brian is still on the scene.
This remix is simply perfect, especialy your cold ending 👍👌 Song in french the same year by Marie Laforêt - Marie Douceur, Marie Colère (adaptation by Michel Jourdan) 😊
Speaking of being painted black, something happened to me back in 1963 or 64 that might be a unique experience. On the air force base at North Bay, Ontario, we had an open sewage system/plant that, when it was running looked like one of those big round sinks in a factory washroom only it gushed like Niagara Falls and you could almost see what everyone else had for supper the night before. It was pumped across the highway into a cement pool that was divided into four sections. The walls dividing the sections were about four inches thick and the pools were somehow sorted from very soft to hard. We decided to play 'tag' in this field and as all you boys know, you go to great lengths not to be tagged. Well, all I can say is that...ALL of us ended up landing in the soft tank. I was maybe seven and it's all very fuzzy. All I can remember is rolling around in the dead, brown grass trying to wipe it off. I was thinking of leaving this comment in with the other 'Forest Rangers' comments but Paint It Black seemed to work.
🎧👍👍 This is the only Rolling Stones 45 that I still have and I have never heard it so good. Is that a sitar? Nice smooth bass; thank you, Pat. 'Stupid Girl' is the flip side of my 45.
All your mixes are great. During our combined radio shows i had a discussion with a colleague who desperatly was searching for a decent version of Sitting on a fence by Twice as Much. There seems to be none. So could i dare to ask? Thx for all which is already there.

I love The Rolling Stones and this song and Mick Jagger ! Happy Friday and weekend !
Thanks Patti. Happy weekend to you as well. We have arctic air over the UK at the moment, so no sunbathing here anytime soon !
Oh my my late mother loved this song❣️
Classic, love it.
I'd recommend the London Symphony Orchestra's take on this from the fabulous 'Classic Rock' album.
Thank you!! Finally a high-quality remix of this song!!

Danke ...wunderbare Erinnerungen ...Angenehmes Wochenende..✌️🫂
Thanks Ulli. This is my favourite Stones record !
Hoffe..Deine Welt ist nicht nur schwarz..🫂🤞

Another great song from 66, I was never a big Stones fan but this is a great tune of theirs sounding great, thanks Pat 👍👍

Great Song, Great Mix.
Fantastic remix with a touch of of pats magic dust, love it !
👍👍
I can hear the difference from original stereo mix especially with backing vocals!
👍👍
You’ve cleaned this up so well. Keep them coming, Pat!
Will do !
Wow, you really gave this song a much needed shot in the arm. It sounds amazing now. Great work!
Thanks David. Most of their 1960s stereo mixes need this treatment. I'm working on it !
Once Again Another fantastic sounding Stones song . Cheers Pat .
👍👍
You know I was already a fan of your old Stones remixes, but now you've conjured up the best version to be found. Thanks Pat and greetings from the Arctic Circle.
Thanks Gerhard. Those early remixes were made without splitting software, I can do better now !
Fantastic Sound on THIS!
Thanks Bernhard 👍👍
Great STEREO VOCALS!!!
Thanks Didi. There was a time when most of my remixes had mono vocals. And then somebody persuaded me to make the vocals in my remixes stereo !

I'm more of a Beatles guy than a Stones guy but the Stones are great and some of their songs are iconic. Great mixing job.
Thanks Robert 👍👍
Can you do the early Morgan studios version of Space Oddity? A very odd song, but it doesn’t have any stereo version anywhere
I will add it to my list.
@@radiowollaton8521yay thank you!
The best version I found was the one on the album “conversation piece” on Spotify or any streaming service

Great full stereo sound, Pat! Have a nice weekend with beautiful weather! 😎
