The last time I saw HooDoo Gurus live was probably 86 or 87. It was at Freeborn Hall at UC Davis and they were opening up for The Bangles. The only reason I went was to see the Gurus. At the end of their set,everyone was chanting “DIG IT UP!” The didn’t play it. Just walked off the stage. I got the set list from that show and Dig it up was on it! I thought that was the most rock n roll thing I had ever seen 😂🤣 I still love em!

Estuve en el concierto y he revivido otra vez con el video, esa fantástica noche. Pena del inicio de 1000 miles, no se oye el audio.
No comprendo lo de no se oye el inicio.. Por aclarar se dejó al público muteado ya que habían muchas cotorras.. y paulatinamente fui mezclando con el audio final, indicar que por problemas técnicos la sala solo me dio audio de mesa con solo voz, los demás proviene de mi zoom h6 y dos cámaras. El mastering por lo complicado he tardado casi un mes en dejarlo lo más aceptable que buenamente he podido.. ha sido sin duda la masterización más compleja que me he enfrentado.
@@CarlosBartual No hay sonido ninguno cuando la canción empieza, solo después de unos 30 segundos lo entra en fade-in juntamente con lo sonido del público. EDIT: OK, existe el sonido pero muy muy bajito
@@SonicEntertainment vale aquí hay dos cuestiones y es que que seguramente esta canción se comenzó a grabar tarde quizás y otra al dejar sin público para que no fuera un cambio brusco limpio a público se suavizará el inicio.
En este concierto hubo un gran problema. Por motivos técnicos solo tenía voces del directo. Lo demás es de 3 cámaras Sony y Canon, masterizar esto fue una tortura pues fue una odisea conseguir algo pasable. Tarde un mes en mezclar y masterizar el concierto. Cuando de normal en 2 o 3 días lo tengo listo.
Pero debía salvar el audio a toda costa.

I "discovered" Hoodoo's by luck in a bargain basement CD bin for 99 cents... best 99 cents I've ever spent! Knew little about the band, and was curious when I read them Thank KISS in the liner notes. They are MUCH BETTER than KISS.
If you knew anything about Aussie Bands, you'd know that it's The Gurus not Hoodoos. You're not an iconic Aussie band until your names been affectionately shortened.

So what happened at the start of The Right Time? Dave signalled for guitar tech, gave him his guitar then immediately looked like he'd just been robbed.
Did he break a string (didn't look like it)? Was it too out of tune? Did he just want to swap it for another? Looks like the same tele that comes back and there wasn't a lot of time for any work to be done on it.
Guitar tech had some hard time this show. Something also happens during What's My Scene.
