Great and simple explanation! thank you. i do have a question tho, if we use acceptance sampling (SQC) for detecting defects in raw materials before the process.. isnt that basically also control the process input (independent variables)?
Yes, to some extent you are controlling but not all process input are dependent on SQC.
How will you explain if a product is excellent? Very good? Good? Poor? Reject?
Its depends on what are parameters you have set for all of these
Say for e.g. if my product lacks the intended function I will reject it or if it has some minor scratches but still I can use it the it would be Poor

It is a informative inspection methods .it is the least efficient method than self-checking ,successive check methods
Both can only control or reduce defects not error . It can be detect the defects after error turned into defects.. it is either not error detection or error prevention . Both are defect s detection method based on how of their feedback -corrective action cycle is
