Tammy was right. Wasn't smart of Wayne to go out in the rain to look on a fallen branch. He put himself in unnecessary danger.
A lot of us men had to do that to ensure that our families are safe, even when it put us in danger

Totally 👍even when his wife pleaded and told him not to go out, that was not honorable at all. Remember the world watching, and the warning was no one was supposed to be outside DURING THE HURRICANE...
@@worthlen1 if you endanger yourself, how do you then make sure your family is safe after that? You are then helpless and useless. Safety should always be first for one's self in order to help others after.

We all remember Gilbert and I am so happy Beryl was less intense than predicted. Thank God. So happy you guys are safe.

@@FStoppers According to to Wikipedia “Hurricane Gilbert was the second most intense tropical cyclone on record in the Atlantic basin in terms of barometric pressure, only behind Hurricane Wilma in 2005” . Even though we got a Category 3 when Gilbert hit it moved slower and it came right over Jamaica, our building practices were less stringent and the barometric pressure was low, so the effects were more intense.

@@lessahowell2550 Yeah I had read that. I'm not sure if a lower barometric reading necessarily always means worse storm but it usually correlates.
I live in Puerto Rico and my wife's family lives in Treasure Beach, Southfield, and Mandeville. I've seen tons of photos and videos and it seems everyone there builds with spanish tile sheets of Zinc nailed to wooden frames. We are in the process of getting some donations sent to them but it has me wondering, is there a reason not to pour solid concrete roofs like we have in PR? I kind of hate our concrete roofs because you gotta seal them every couple years and concrete leaks really easily, BUT, these homes are never budging with a hurricane. I just wonder if you repair a roof with Zinc for $$$ if it's not susceptible to the next hurricane? Maybe they have newer hurricane straps you can secure the roof down with but from the videos I've seen, few people have had success with the way they are currently being built. -P
So happy to see that the hurricane only did minimal damage to your home and that all of you and your village are safe and sound 🙏🏾 I will continue to pray for those who were affected more and that water and electricity will be restored to all very soon.

It seems as if everyone slept in the renovated bedroom during the passage of Beryllium.How nice,no child wants to be on their own at such a time even adults.Divine thinking and intervention that you all have renovated your roof cause it might have been another story to tell as well.Nice "Home Sweet Home" lamp shade.Well I am glad you all safe and sound even Momo.I hope Mummy Mitchell and Momo's family are doing well as well and the entire Jamaican massive.We always pray and take an interest in our Caribbean brothers and sisters during such times for we are all one Caribbean One Family.

I watched all the live Jamaica webcams, tracked Beryl on NOAA, and watched CZcamsrs who livestreamed from Negril during the Hurricane. Pretty much no sleep. All family and friends were okay but my heart goes out to all badly affected. We need to pull together and donate to help if possible. #MTMstrong

I am grateful that the Mitchell's were safed and tucked in for the hurricane. I am happy too that where I am it wasn't so bad, sending love and light and my strength to the parishes that suffered.

Praying for all the people affected in Clarendon, St. Elizabeth, Portland, Westmoreland, Treasure beach and elsewhere in Jamaica. I am so happy That the Mitchells and extended family made it relatively unscathed. From the reports We ae getting from Instagram and CZcams in general., Jamaica was well organized for the Hurricane and aftermath. I am so proud of how everything was handled and of the ODPEM. Thank you Mitchells for putting this vid out even in the midst of disaster. You have no idea that this brings much relief that you are all safe and ready and willing to help those badly affected.
MTM family, UK cousin prayed hard for you all and the islands. If you saw any interviews of the aftermath in Carriacou, we have to thank God that he allows people to have so much faith even after experiencing something sooooo catastrophic. Praying for everyone, especially as this is the start of hurricane season.
Grateful that the impact was not worse. 🙌🏾All the south coast folks I'm praying for those grieving and that help will get to all of you sooner than later. 🙏🏾

Jamaicans really learned their lesson from Gilbert with most ppl building concrete instead of board houses with zinc roof. Makes a big difference during hurricanes.

Yes Wayne, I had my bully beef with some baked beans and white rice, and fried plantain...couldn't get my grace brand, but other other brand just had to do... lets continue to pray for all those who were deeply affected by Beryl in Ja other regions and countries.

Good day, MTM family and friends. I live in St. Elizabeth. My heart hurt to see the amount of damage just in the circle where I live. Roofs are gone, and people have lost their entire house. People are sleeping outside. We were told that it might take up to two weeks before light will be restored. Thanks, Tami and Wayne, for putting it out there that we need the help. I know the PM and the MP is on it. Thank God no lives were lost. Please help! and thanks, everyone.
