Great review! I totally understand when you buy a rig and then your kiddos start to sprout. My kiddo is 6'5" and it really makes you think how you can accommodate a place for them to sleep in a RV.

Your filming in the rain reminded me that you can have water collect on the top of your slides. Now when you bring in your slides it can drain off inside. You haven't lived till you get a couple gallons of cold water down your back off the slide when you start to move.
The way to prevent this is before you bring in the slides. Manually raise the back jacks and lower the fount. This will allow the water to drain off. Now lower the back jacks. Now you can bring in the slides.

You talk about the roof, I clean mine twice a year. After watching your video on washing your rv, I actually enjoy washing it now. Love the upgrades you made. We have a 2021 Holiday Rambler Vacationer 33c, f53 chassis. Had a couple of stupid problems with it. Had to replace a couple of outlet, because they were over tightened. The back window moved a little, had to reposition and tighten. I had to fix the front drivers seat. The power cord was not secured under the seat properly so when the seat was placed all the way down it pinched the cord against the rail. I was able to repair it by cutting it and splicing the wires. As far as upgrades, we had a Super-steer rear track bar and a Safe-T-Plus steering stabilizer put on and it made a real difference in handling. Also, clear storage bins from amazon for food both in and outside the refrigerator. I would give the Motorhome an 8 out of 10 for design and quality. Maybe a little less on the construction side, small mistakes made while putting it together. I believe Holiday Ramblers are a good quality REV product.

We have a 2003 Beaver Marquis very solid built. We have been playing catch up as far as maintenance goes. When we purchased this RV, there was no records as to what was done. Even as far as when the engine oil was change. I have asked other RV owners when do you change your RV? Some it's time some are life style and some sperr of the moment. One other this is the first time for buying a RV, 3 years ago. Love the being in this life style.

    Has been well maintained
    Is the right model
    Has the right decor.

We have owned every type of rv for over 40 years and our current rv is a 2007 Monaco Holiday Rambler Navigator 45’ w/pre DEF/DPF 525 Cummins, 4K Alison, tag, side radiator, 4 slides built on a custom Roadmaster semi monocoque chassis w/10 airbags and shocks and it rides, drives very quiet and smooth. It’s the best coach we’ve ever owned and known for its incredible quality and luxury. We couldn’t be happier. We’ve literally haven’t had any problems, just routine maintenance which I’m pretty OCD about. It even came from the factory with an Amana stainless French door refrigerator and it still works flawlessly after 16 years. Has 8, 6v Coach batteries, 3 chassis batteries, solar panel charger and 12.5kw Onan generator, 3, 15K BTU AC units w/heat pumps…all original and work perfect. I think your next coach should be a high end luxury coach….their just so nice and top of the line quality. Personally, I think the older luxury coaches from the mid to later 2000, before the Great Recession, are considered some of the best build years for overall quality of engineering, work,a ship, materials, etc. good luck with your search…oh,and love your channel!👍

Everybody has their own idea of or wants for their perfect RV. I was a tent camper for 40 years. Never thought about anything else. Then you get older, and with the body creaks, you realize that glamping isn't so bad after all. We started going to the Cleveland RV show about 20 years ago. Long before we were ready to upgrade. Every time we went there, we only had one priority. That was to find a class of RV to eliminate from our must haves. It finally got down to a class A or a 5th wheel. 10 years ago, we decided on the 5th wheel, and then we started our search all over again to find our best fit. We had a smaller older 5th wheel to enjoy while we looked, but we were looking for our final RV. After narrowing it down to 5 brands that fit our style and budget, we purchased our new Montana. Plus, we got 42% off MSRP. which was a bonus! It took a lot of patience and perseverance to find it. But it was worth it! Great video. Keep enjoying Nellie! I know it's not very original, but we named ours Monte!

We bought our 2016 Thor ACE 29.3 in February of 2021 and are part-time campers. We did have it inspected ahead of time, which caught a few things that were fixed before we got there, then flew to Tucson from Colorado Springs, did our own walk through, and drove it home. We take it out between 3-4 times per year. Like you, we’re both still working full time and retire in 2 years (July 2025), and we plan to sell the house and go full time. What we’ve discovered is at 30’, this one will be too small for full time. The pantry is small, the fridge is small, and there’s just not much storage. It works okay for part timing, but we’d have to stop and buy groceries every 3-4 days. We do plan to buy used again, probably 2-3 years old. We’re currently looking at the Thor Challenger 37FH. The floor plan is the closest we’ve found to what we like. It addresses the issues above and with opposing slides, the living room is huge. We have two large Irish Setters (55 lbs ad 75 lbs), so that’s a huge plus. We’re still looking at other floor plans in case something else is a better fit, just keeping our options open. Our plan is to find our next RV within a few months of our retirement date, plus or minus.

Lots of V10 gas engine owners love to boast and talk down about the new gas 7.3L V8.
But the 7.3L is so much better, so powerful, and holds gears even uphill way better than the V10.
I test drove a bunch of V-10’s, even in a small class C. So weak and coarse. I’ll take my chances with the new V8 and enjoy my drive.

Freightliner in Orlando has provided great service and Gaffney Freightliner corporate is the best in the business with all the resources they offer. From my experience Newmar still builds a Quality product and stands behind them. Freightliner is the only chassis I would have, just waiting for them to get into the luxury Newmar coach line up before we upgrade. Yes you read that right. Say all this the most important thing to help you have a Great RV/Coach experience is where you purchase it from.I am glad we chose NIRVC they have been over the top for best price, best service and overall experience.

Quite honestly, we started with a PopUp when our 3 kids were little then stopped camping for several years. We bought a Coachman Class C in 2019 after camping with family in theirs…we realized we didn’t like the noise in it while traveling, so we sold it in October 2020 and sought out to buy a travel trailer. We bought our 2021 Coleman in 2021 and we love everything about it except the small bathroom. It had double over double bunk beds with an outdoor kitchen and we decided to remove the top bunk and it was a great decision. We love our trailer ❤

We recently bought a used 2022 Newmar Baystar 3226, upgrading from a 2021 Thor Vegas 24.1. Love the floor plan and offers a couple of great options for telework. Not full-timers, but still need to work from the road. Previous owner had done the after-market suspension upgrades we did to our previous one; uograded the mattress; and added a few other things that we would've done had he not already done so.. Still working through #stuff to ensure we have needed items, but dont push past allotted weight (like you, we have lots of storage) Lol! It is very well insulated and drives smoothly. Slower at hill climbs than our Thor at half the weight. The smaller rig, though, is easier to get into smaller places. Always trade-offs.

We have had our 2013 Tiffin Open Road 32 CA for three years and only the rear AC and front shades have gone out. Problems relating directly to Tiffin are side walls moving - kitchen wall moves out in the sunlight/heat about 1/2" - rear side wall at rear cap moves in and out a bit. The interior rear wall moves in and out a bunch. Issues we can live with. Looking at the Newmar Kountry Star 3709 as a move up (used) in 5-7 years - but nervous about cost of DP repairs. Might just keep our Tiffin forever because the problems you know are better than the problems you don't know. Also we are spoiled by huge amounts of storage and pass throughs for all our dog show stuff. Also - 33' on a 24K chassis! Great CCC.

Quality and RV should never appear in the same sentence. That's the first thing you learn about RVing. The next thing you learn is how to turn a wrench as you will be repairing various odds and ends constantly. The idea of warranty repairs for everything that breaks is a joke.... unless you want your RV to spend its entire warrant period in the shop.

A great, honest long-term review, MJ, Izzy and Jason. So many useful and significant upgrades, especially the Liquid Spring. A question: How did you decide to order a Newmar as opposed to another brand? In our case what initially attracted us to Newmar was the Comfort Steer feature. After a bad experience with another coach (it wasn't just the steering!), Newmar's Comfort Steer really got our attention, then other positive things I had read about them appeared on our radar that said "this is the one"! We absolutely love our 4369 DS and can't imagine a better coach for the money.

We boondock at VT state parks so we are in the woods and not parked next to a bunch of rv’s or trailers. With that said we are now looking at a Showhauler super C or a Renegade. More room for our mountain biking family of 4.

After our Tiffin Breeze left us stranded for the 2nd time, we traded it in on a 2017 Newmar Ventana 3436. It is us and 2 small dogs. We love the floorpan and the homey feel of it. We did drive a 40' Phaeton with IFS that was a dream to drive compared to the Breeze, but out of budget. We found the Ventana and the comfort steer, while not the same as IFS, it was a big enough difference that we were no longer white knuckling on breezy days like the Breeze. (See what I did there?). Anyway, anything longer for us is basically giving us a larger bathroom. For a BUNCH of money. Bathrooms are really not where I like to hang out, so the small bath is functional. Going up from Ventana seemed like a long leap financially with really not that much of a difference. 3 entry step instead of 2. Chrome along the bottom of basement doors. Girard Awnings. A bit more horsepower and torque. Aforementioned IFS on some models. If we hit the lottery, we would likely do the 38' Tag Axle Mountain Aire. The fun is in the hunt! Enjoy your videos.

Love this review! We've also been really happy with the Ford V-10 platform in our Class C... '15 model with 0 issues. If/when we get our next RV we're going to have a hard requirement for something w/Full Body Paint, thanks for talking about that. We've owned 3 tag toyhaulers, a conventional 5ver & 2 Class C motorhomes over the years. All different manufacturers, all filled with problems I've had to work around/fix, mostly on my own. It's a sad thing that every RV, no matter the brand, can & often is, a POS straight from the factory. Any other industry that went 30-50yrs with little/no innovation (materials wise) & continued to perennially put out horridly inconsistent quality of construction would likely not have survived. To do RVing right one (or a couple themselves) needs to be at a minimum 'jack of all trades handy'. Don't know how anyone could do this even as a part-timer & not have miserable experiences without having the time & motivation to fix things themselves.

Regarding your comment on the V8 engine, this is our second RV with the new Godzilla V8 engine. No problems so far in over 20K miles. Tows effortlessly and climbs the hills/mountains without effort. I am sorry to hear that you are having issues with your eclipse. We just had our transmission replaced in our 34j at 3800 miles. I would be curious to know what issues you are having that I may need to look out for.

Hi ! I’m with motorhome class A, and really like your review/recommandation. Just bought a winnebago intent 2020, and would like to clean and protect my roof. Do you have a video or which product you’re using ? (Sorry for my English, I’m from Quebec). Thanks

It's not the fridges fault. It's not ment to go down the road. I'm an appliance tech. It's not ment to go down the road bouncing around. You really should go to an RV fridge.

@EndlessRVing the newer 12v are actually good. I also work on RV appliances. The failures that I have seen are mostly due to improper wire sizing. Best of luck

I have a standard rule . Never buy a rv that’s not 20 years old .. crazy yep . Low miles all problem s gone .. it must have 30k plus miles . And as little of electronics as possible…. Old school cool. And doesn’t break the bank ..

I am starting my research on which way to go. I am torn between class A and fifth wheel. I have a Ford F250 and a Jeep Wrangler so I have some hard choices. I am 2 years away from retirement and like you we are not sure if we will full time or part time. Lots to research and to decide. I do like your Day Star, it is a nice coach!

We’re in the same boat. Looking at trading out our 5th wheel for a class A or C. We already have the Jeep and we have a F350 that we’ll probably sell. We are always looking to more information

Our experience with our Newmar has been similar to your own. There is the part Newmar makes; the superstructure, cabinets, drawers, countertops, etc. And then there are the various installed components made by many other supply venders. And these appear to be the items with the greatest failure rates. (Your fridge for example). In some cases Newmar could choose components from more reliable subcontractors. And in general cost containment is not a viable excuse to hit a price point. Most reliable upgrades would add several thousand dollars to the price of a unit which already retails in the hundreds of thousands of dollars to begin with. Would a 2% increase in production cost change total sales? So, I feel Newmar makes a quality product, i just wish there was a little more quality control from their venders.

I think you should keep it a gew more years. You have done a lot of getting the bugs all worked out and fixed, made it the way you would like it to be...your o ly really big problem is a place for your son to sleep if he keeps getting taller...but no matter what you upgrade to...really tall people have that problem. You can hold out and see if the industry starts doing a better job, if not, hold on to her...i doubt you will find something you want without putting near it's actual worth in upgrades and fixing bugs. From what i hear, people trying to get the new RV's fixed up pretty much run out of the warranty time due to companies putting them off, getting parts, etc and many wind up having to pay for much of it themselves. RV forums are full of those stories.

Nice recap. I think all RVers should stop giving the manufactures a pass. The number of things right from the factory and beyond should not be acceptable. Band together and raise a bunch of hell. Careless work and worse quality control should be called out loud and clear. Maybe Honda should start making RV's and put everyone else out of business. I did a self build because of the poor quality of RV's. I don't have as many fancy systems as you do but three years later none of my stuff has broken.

To be honest, RVs are a maintenance pain in the butt. I get tired of constantly fixing stuff and 1amaintenance cost and don't plan to keep RVing much longer.

With interest rates going up again today and more on the way it’s likely that prices will plummet as people try to hang on to their homes. The next 6+ months will be interesting for buyers especially if you have cash. I’m going to try to find a used RV with low mileage and kept indoors. I may need to make modifications for perfection but my key concern is safety. It’s got to be of the highest standards in the industry due to #climatechange & the likelihood of fires 🔥 flooding and extreme temperatures making the life expectancy far less than expected. I wouldn’t wait too long as in 2025 the earth is going to be very different unless the world governments really move fast. Solar is going to be a must & possibly towing a boat or an inflatable just to escape catastrophic events needs considering. On the other hand it might be your home that’s in danger & the RV becomes a refuge to move to safety. It’s a lot to consider with so many uncertainties. I’m trying not to be negative but perhaps this is worth a video in itself. We are all going to need to be more adaptable in the future. I’m following your plans with great interest and wish you all the very best 🤔🩶💫
