- How to reset the Tire pressure Sensor in a Porsche, get rid of the yellow warning light
Unbelievably simple - and yet so hard to find this simple solution without having to listen to dumb explanations like
"why do we need tires" or "What is a sensor" ...

Hats off to you my friend! I can’t believe someone actually made a how to video that isn’t full of nonsense. Straight and to the point. I wish everyone did that I would save hundreds of hours. Thanks. 😊
Thanks for your kind words. I personally hate it when people don't get to the point and instead of delivering what was promised in the title they would tell you "What are tires?" "Why do we need 4 of them?" Things like that just to get more viewing time - totally disrespecting other peoples' time
IDK why this got in my recommendations. I don't even own a car 🥲
@@DrMario-su6xj These are the mysteries of this 1 minute video.
Thanks so much for this. Yes, it is so simple and I've been driving with the annoying message for a month because I couldn't find out how to do it!
Glad I could help
Saved me a trip the dealership you’re awesome
I'm blushing....
Can you do with cayanne? I don't have settings like yours in the steering wheel control. Appreciate it.@@ParadiseBizz
And out of the blue, here you are to save the day. Thank you!
You're very welcome
Perfect! Tons of horrible videos out there but this is short, sweet, and right to the point! Many thanks!
Glad you like it
Totally agree, my comment was basically the same as yours. There’s even videos that are like 10min long just to get this simplistic thing done. Do you have a Porsche? I just bought a preowned.
@@151balance I bought my MACAN exactly 3 years ago, super happy with it
Just used your procedure on a 2011 Cayenne. Couldn’t believe that it worked-so easy and solved an annoying situation
I'm glad it worked.
Video short, understandable, straight to the point! And it worked!! Thanks a bunch.
Thank you for taking the time to leave me a nice comment. Much appreciated.
Did a tire rotation and couldn't believe it was this easy to reprogram the tires. Thank you! Won't be scared to diy tire rotations anymore
I'm glad I could help
For anyone else doing diy tire rotations, Invest in wheel stud hangers. It will help guide rim on hub and more importantly protect wheel finish. You don't want to scrape wheell barrels on your calipers!
@@jitterspec Thanks for sharing
This was great information, I have a 911 which was showing a false reading on one tyre, your info works just the same on this car as what it does on a Macan. Fixed it right up. Thanks very much.👍
Glad it worked on your 911. My son has a 718 Cayman GTS, it works also for his car. Such a simple solution and so difficult to find, right?
Oh my gosh. So easy. Thank you!
This also works for a 2012 Porsche Boxster. After 2 days of not being able to reach my Porsche dealer via phone, I googled this and it works just as he says!!!!!!!
It is an unbelievably simple fix that is so hard to find. And it works for all kinds of Porsche, also for my son's 718 GTS
Omg thank you! So easy but no one knows how to explain. The last video, the guy did it I think but didn’t talk the whole video!?! That’s like doing a math problem quietly in my presence to teach me math. What to eat is yours? I just got my 2018 Macan ❤️❤️❤️. Thanks a million!
We took a road trip from Naples, FL to Anaheim, CA with our MACAN, even took it off road. This is an amazing car, so much fun. Enjoy Oh, and I have an 2017 Macan, love it
Hey thanks! This happened to me today and it was a quick fix. 🙏
It helped ! So Easy! Many thanks. Alain (France)
Holiday greetings from Florida to France. I'm glad it worked for you.
Thanks so much for your info. I've had my tires rotated yesterday and the tire monkeys didn't reset my pressure gage. Ive been reading my manuals and can't find a single thing about resetting the tire pressure gage. Thanks so much for your help. I appreciate it.
This is exactly why I made this video: I looked everywhere but I couldn't find a simple answer on how to reset it.
Thank you Sir! Worked on my 2013 Panamera. Have a great day.
Glad it worked.
This deserves a million likes
😀😍 Thanks, I take it 😃😚
Thank you!!!!!!! Was driving me nuts
Glad I could help
Thank you!!! Liked. Cheers.

Thank you so much! Fixed the problem of my Cayenne
Glad it helped!

And I truly appreciate that you took the time to leave me a nice comment. Thank you
Thank you so much! Worked like a charm on my Panamera.
Thanks for taking the time to leave a nice comment
Thank you! Worked perfect!
Glad I could help
Thank you! It was driving me crazy trying to figure out how to turn the sensor light off
Glad I could help. Trying to get a simple answer from the web drove me nuts. That's why I made this short vid.
Great video! Thank you!
Thank you
Huge help with porsche panamera, thanks!
Glad it worked. We were considering the Panamera as a family car, it looks so beautiful. We ended up buying the Macan in case I had to transport larger objects like Real Estate posts and signs
It worked on my 09 Cayenne. Thanks!
Glad it worked. Thanks for taking the time to leave me a comment. Much appreciated.
Worked! Thank you so much.
Thanks for watching
I had a false low pressure light start showing on my 2008 cayman. I tried just re-setting the tire size and type without success. Then I had the Porsche mechanics reset the software but it only fixed the problem for a day (and cost $100 for their time and work). Finally, I saw a suggestion on-line that you need to reset the system to a different tire size/type (from the choices in the software), let the system re-learn the sensor positions (by driving 5 to 10 miles) and this stops the false low pressure signal. Then simply repeat using the correct tire specs, do another re-learning drive cycle, and the problem is solved. This complletely worked for me. It did require some driving but saved me more expense and time by having the mechanics continue to mess with it. They would probably have replaced the pressure sensors next, adding more expense. The tire size/type reset procedure is described in the car manual and in the video above.
It is sad the the Porsche Mechanics would not make you aware of such a simple task and charge you money. Thank you so much for taking the time to leave me a nice comment. Much appreciated.
Great video.

Thank you 😊
Thank you for your nice video. This is the first time the alert shows up and didn't go off, so I was upset and dropped the question on Facebook.
Glad I could help! Thanks for watching
Once again thank you it works perfectly. Keep up the good work I will share this with my friends we need to Kane this viral
That's so nice of you
Thanks its a good help !!
Glad I could help
thank you!!!
You're welcome, thanks for watching
Exactly what I needed, thanks! But you have to wonder WHYYYY do they make it work like this??
So people would bring it back to the dealership, lol
Thank you so much! Was wondering how to do it on my 971 Panamera. I watched another video and it was useless.
Glad I could help
Thank you
Thanks for watching and for taking the time to leave a nice comment

OMG thank you!!
Isn't it amazing how simple it is - and I could not find a single (short) video on youtube
thanks!!

Awesome. Took a little over 5 minutes of driving for it to calibrate
I know, it's such a simple procedure and so hard to find information on it. Thanks for taking the time to leave me a comment. Much appreciated.

works!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you very much, I was getting annoyed 😂
haha, same here. It was a lot of try and error before I found this simple solution
Hi, looking at your clock it took 12 mins from starting the setting to it registering. Is that about right or is that just the editing?
Great catch. I hit many red stop lights and it really takes consistent driving to reset the TPS
My friend! I don’t get the option for ‘type of tire’ only shows me ‘current’ or deviation’. Do I need to change any other setting by chance? Porsche Panamera 2019
Sounds to me that you would chose DEVIATION and in the next step to reset it back to what you had before.
❤❤
Thanks for watching
Thank you I will tryb this 🎉Hope will work for me
It really should. My viewers have successfully tried this method in the 718, the Panamera and the 911
@@ParadiseBizz on my Panamera 4S 2010 dont work 😭
@@marcinkowalik82 Sorry to read this. Which year is it?
In only one minute you resolve the problem than Others videos talking a lot for 10 or 15 minutes and they done going with a point to resolve the problem
Don't we all hate the videos with flashy intros and loud music that tell you: "What is a tire" and "Why do we need pressure" and never come to the point?
Is this the same for a Panamera? Cos i recently had air put in and now the notification has been such a headache
Yepp, pretty much for any Porsche. Since I published this video I got positive feedback from Panamera owners, 911, Cayman, and Cayenne
Thanks a lot, just changed tires and got pretty frustrated that it kept giving me the warning
That's exactly how I came up with this video
🤘🏼
Thanks for watching
Why doesn't the owners manual say that? Thanks huge. Super simple:)
Thanks for watching, I'm glad I was able to help
Except mine stays lit up yellow and throws up the tpms monitoring system fault and the values stay -- blank.
Sorry to hear this. I am sure you have tried to start over. So after selecting the tire type, what happens next?
My left rear will pressure shows -10. But the tire seems to have proper pressure. Help
How about testing it with an external pressure meter? The sensor might be off
@@ParadiseBizz I was able to get it right. It was definitely weird though. My tire pressure was showing -12 even after following mentioned steps in the video. I ended up putting air in it and all the lights went away and now it's fine.
It worked for an hour then the inflate sign was on again 😢.
That means you may have a real problem
