"I went beyond trying to create an TR style analog emulation of a hi hat module to a full blown "drum machine". All sounds built in Max For Live, each module loaded onto a Drum Rack, and sequenced in Live.
I used old TR-808 and 606 schematics, SOS drum synthesis articles, and frequency analysis of 808/606 VSTi emulations and drum samples as the basis for the sounds. Ideally I would like the hats to be more close to the 606 than the 808, but this is what I came up with for now.
Once I implement a cymbal (and maybe a ride) sound and clean up the M4L patches so they store their settings properly, I'll release it for others to use if there's any interest. For now, enjoy the demo."
