    I can't find 26" 3/4 black pipe and this table calls for 6 pieces. Where did you get yours? X

    Awesome. It's nice to see an instructional video to build something that's functional, looks cool, and doesn't require thousands of dollars of tools I don't have.

    Looks great. Planning on making this as a standing desk for my gym. I’ll also be torching the wood to expose the wood grain. Cheers.

    thank you! I could not figure out for the life of me how to make a table base with 3/4 inch threaded pipes and fittings. I tried everything and kept ending up with a rectangle that I could not tighten the last pipe. I defiantly got stuck on stupid and your video made it so clear to me. thank you again

    Your demo is awesome! Newbie here. Once the ends are cut to specific length, how are they attached, as I see you screwing the connectors on the leg pieces? Once cut there are no threads, right?

    Thanks for sharing your technique for pre-drilling the holes. If the desk is one inch thick, and the wood pieces are one inch thick, what's the correct drill depth? How long should the screws be?

    If I want the top totally smooth (so it doesn’t mess with writing) could I fill the crack with wood putty? Would the putty look different than the rest of the wood when I apply the stain? Thanks for a great video!

      @getitdonehomerepair  Před rokem

      Good question but that will not work. You would have to joint the two pieces together with glue, dowel pins and clamps.

    hi mr Jim
    is there a specific software you use to plan your pipe design before you construct it ?
    thanks

      No I just build it the height and width that I needed. I'm sure that you can find plans on line for this project.

    Connecting the pipes for something like this is a real PITA. Lol

  • @robynsciancalepore8736

    Would you need to rub any kind of oil or rust inhibitor on the pipes to prevent Rusting from the dampness in the air?

    What are the deminsions of the width and length from the outer sides of each of the flanges? Trying to determine the minimum sizes of my table with this kit. Thx!

    How do you tighten the pipes and get it to line up or do the pipes remain loose?

    • @getitdonehomerepair
      @getitdonehomerepair  Před 10 měsíci

      You can tighten the pipes with a pair of channel lock or a pipe wrench.

  • @garyhelms1889
    @garyhelms1889 Před 2 lety +1

    Is that actual plumbing pipe?? Any particular reason you didn't use the non-threaded pipe with the allen head fittings??
    It's cheaper and made for this application I believe. I'm about to build a table myself , but man, that plumbing pipe is expensive!!!!!

      As long as they are all the same it is normal to get tight when installing together.
