Panarin stopped himself. He always does that ultra slow multi-fake and once in a while it works. He has such a great shot he should rely on that sometimes.

both Panarin and Power moved backwards on their attempts..... beyond annoying whatever team you cheer for
Panarin, most definitely. Power? I don’t see where he goes backwards. He moves laterally right before the shot but not backwards.
It was close with power but yea I feel you. The refs have been allowing players to stop and even go backwards this year.
As did Kane. And like 20% of all penalty shots taken. There's not an explicit rule against it and the refs have always interpreted the "puck must move towards the goal line" as more of a general direction thing than the puck never being allowed to move backwards.
@@laurenl6272 yeah, I think Power moved backwards, not blatantly but still pretty visibly. I cheered for Buffalo this game, by the way, and would like to see them in the playoffs (though that's still unlikely now) but that doesn't change the fact that Power's attempt was suspect-ish

We got a few guys with Stanley cups under their belts (kane, vladdy, goodrow) and even Krieder and z have some finals experience and then even most of the team is still here from last year…. And now I look at New Jersey and they’re all young with not much experience. I think rangers should take them in 6

Shoot outs just suck, change it to 3 on 3 OT for 5 more minutes and if no one wins both teams get 1 point, so they have incentive to try to win to get the winners point.
