- Demo showing Videocrypt 1 and 2 working at the same time. This is how Multichoice Central Europe and Sky simulcrypted their transmissions.
Videocrypt 2 on the left running in Thomson TSR710 (rebadged Ferguson SRD6) and Videocrypt 1 on the right in the refurbished Amstrad SRD510. - Věda a technologie
Childhood days memories
I have the same Videocrypt II decoderwhich is on the left side. I used it for MTV in the mid 90's.
Do you still have you old "Multichoice" card? Here's your chance to resurrect it!
@@CaptainJack406 Unfortunately not, but maybe I will find some of them.
Interesting decoding. I have a lot of movies from unscrambled VideoCrypt Channel ( in Belgium, we had RTL-TVI which were using Satellite Feed for years while the Cable TV companies were fixing their uplinks)
I am still looking for the earliest VHS tapes from Sky One and Sky Movies (before July 1990). So if you have any, let me know.
@@CaptainJack406 Unfortunelately, as a French speaker, the only thing i could get from before 1990 is Discret 11 programs from Canal+Belgium (Which kept under this old encryption until their end of Analogue programs at around 2008)
@@CaptainJack406 remember Wrestlemania VI on sky movies?
Impressive!!!
this is nice - I've a question. In the 8051 µC the list of start points are everytime the same list and/or are there different lists inside the ROM of the 8051 µC or only different startpoinst of the cut list? How the transmitter tell the decoder that is on which start point? (and/or other list?) Thank you weakbit
If only I could go back to the 90s and have videocrypt decrypted.
If you still have original tapes with scrambled recordings, it's possible to decrypt it still.
I wish I did
@@CaptainJack406 Well theres many scrambled channel recoding on youtube, would like to see you give it a try
@@CaptainJack406 Did not know this is possible 😲
@@CaptainJack406 I have S-VHS tape with scrambled recording. Please help me.
I used to watch the porno channels RTL+ and SAT1
Oh i know. Left its 2. And right its 1
Very interesting! How does this work? I have a series 11 and a 12 card, a separate Videocrypt decoder that was connected to a sat receiver. Starting from zero, is it possible to do this?
It uses HackTV (Google it for GitHub repos) along with HackRF SDR device, which then goes into a satellite receiver, just like an LNB would. Sky 11 and 12 cards are supported. There's a Discord channel for HackTV if you need more help.
@@CaptainJack406 How do you split the signal? The HackRF only has one output
Wow SRD 510 ❤❤❤ and Thomson VC2 ?
Thomson is a rebadged Ferguson SRD6 for the European market, so has the VC2 chipset inside instead of VC1
what is the "hacktv"? i need a answer pls :)
