It’s because of you Megan that I came to know Jesus, you inspired me over a year ago and I have loved my journey of exploration getting to know God and His word. xo
This just brought tears to my eyes and a huge smile!

Woohoo. Praise the Lord. Keep going girl :)
Oh my goodness how awesome! ❤️❤️❤️

I'm not a mom, and grew up in an abusive home and have a hard time being feminine or homemaking. I honestly haven't even ever dated. But videos like this help me feel like with God's grace I _can_ if it glorifies Him.
Thank you for sharing your heart!
Dang girl, I thought I was the only one from an abusive home. I am in my 50's and don't date either. I do go to Celebrate Recovery and it helps a lot ...you eventually get to share your story with others on testimony night. If you haven't heard of them, they are really fun. Hugs to you. Hang in there.
oh meg can you PLEEEAASSEE speak more about God this year! Your words are truth and Pure Inspiration!
My culture has taught me that you have to have lots of babies to be fulfilled. But after 2 kids I felt the pressure to have the 3rd. But as I sat down and thought about myself and mental health I chose to not have more littles. I want my kids to have the best of me possible. I think it’s not talked about enough that it’s okay to not push yourself to have kids just cuz that’s what you do.
I love - LOVE - that you ended this video with a “you should get to know God” message❤️❤️❤️
When we were growing up, our parents shielded us from the "hard stuff." It wasn't until we were adults that we discovered that we were at or below the poverty line, that Mom had cancer after I was born, and other things. We were encouraged to be kids and were not burdened with "adult" things. Our parents never apologized to us; they were never "vulnerable" with us. They were the parents, we were the kids. We learned about relationships by watching our parents interact with each other, and us kids had to learn how to get along by interacting with each other and working out our own problems among us. Now I look back and I'm so grateful that we were kept from having to grow up too soon, that we could just be kids and not have to take on adult issues. I know I'm from a different generation. lol.
I know where you are coming from.
In some ways I agree with you. I am also from an older generation. However, there were periods in our life when things got rough and we, children, witnessed our parents struggle. The hardest time for me was seeing my dad cry. I don't think there ever was a time when my parents apologized to me (or us kids) for any reason. That's ok. They were pretty high up there in my estimation and I probably would have fainted. Lol... But I knew my mother was fragile at times. I knew my dad struggled at times. But we were family and we stuck together and I never doubted for a minute that we wouldn't pull through together.
I just had cancer and didn’t tell my daughter who is 8 bc I knew we would get passed it - but she knew I had surgery and that mommy needed help with things - so I was vulnerable without sharing information that wasn’t age appropriate or that she couldn’t process yet. I think a balance so they know when they get older that we all go through hard times but there’s a line
@@emlevy5792 My mom had a cancer when I was 7 and my sister 14. For my sister it was harder because she already knew cancer was dangerous and she could understand when my mother wasn't well because of the chimio, but for me I was just glad my mom was home. My parents told me "Mom is sick, it's a very complicated thing, she need to have surgery and take medicine. She's gonna loose her hair and she's not gonna work for some times."
I remember once she forgot to put her wig to come pick me at school, one of my classmate made fun off her and I kicked his butt 🤣🤣🤣
This is such an inspirational video Megan!! ❤My now ex-husband, asked for a divorce almost 4 years ago, and I have been grieving that loss and torturing myself with the “what ifs?” Over the last 2-3 years your positivity and looking to God for guidance and strength has helped monumentally!! I am finally ready to move on and to see what God has in store for me 🙏🏻 It’s time to create “MY OWN” vision board for 2023 and to take charge of my life!! I can’t thank you (and Lynette Yoder, too!) enough for your positive vibes on the daily…God bless and have a happy and healthy new year! 🎉❤🙏🏻
This is one of my favourite videos you’ve ever done. Thanks for sharing about your faith. I hope that 2023 is the year that us believers get to go home and finally meet one another in the presence of Jesus!
Maranatha and Amen, Sister!🙏🙌❤️
Jewish viewer here! I smiled at your “happy new month” comment as Jews celebrate each “Rosh Chodesh” which literally means “head of the month” with a special prayer and song at services. So this is an actual thing. 😊❤️
Ooh, I think I heard about this on Jar of Fireflies, which is the other CZcamsr I watch. I forgot. I am going to ask her if she will share more on it. That is so cool. I thought she was just doing it once but didn't realize it was a thing. Cool.
Great video Megan. When we were raising our two sons we always allowed them to have friends over to the house, sleep overs at our house etc. When they were teenagers we invited all the boys over on football Saturdays, we fed them, etc. It was a ton of work (I worked full time outside the home so Saturdays were my life) but I was always glad to have their friends over and tons of kids came in and out of our home. I miss the dozens of large size shoes at the front door. Now our sons are grown with wives and families of their own. They too love to entertain and have friends over so I think they got that from their growing up. God gave us two great sons and blessed us so well. We had very little issues with them because we were a very open, communicative type of family. I believe we had a haven home. To this day we have lived in our home for 36 years; over time we have updated, changed etc. Our sons always tell us, please don't sell our childhood home...we love it! God is very present in our home, in every room with reminders of Him all throughout our home. Thank you for sharing all of your thoughts and ideas!
I've never tried a vision board before. I'm relieved. It's so much more my personality than the lists I've been trying to write out! Thanks for showing me how! I found myself nodding along wholeheartedly to so much that you shared in this video. So grateful to find an influencer who is so authentic and shares my Christian values.
Would love a video on what you were talking about with kids/birth control etc 😊 my husband and I are about at that stage of life where we’re really thinking about starting to try for kids soon but don’t feel financially ready yet :/ I enjoy talking with people about their journeys!
I know I’ve said it before, but it bears repeating…I look forward to your uploads bc your channel is a haven for so many of us. Even those of us that have no children and live a completely different life. I appreciate your candor and honesty. Thanks! 😊
I have recommended your channel to both my christian and non christian friends. I am 61 and really look forward to Megan every week. You have given me a lot to think about what I hope to see the Lord do in my life in 2023.
Megan, I love your videos and content. I did find this one particularly inspirational. I am a mother of 3 (18,18 & 25). I turned 50 a week ago so I am in a different season of life but what I can say is things included in my goals for 2023 are to keep a monthly date night with my husband of 30 yrs. My word for 2023 is HOPE. Showing vulnerability to our children and showing how we worked through things, promoted resilience in our children, but we have always been careful not to burden their hearts. My husband and I have used a scoring system to break down walls and facilitate those vulnerable conversations. Score each of the following with marks out of 10 …. How are you? How are we? You to the kids? You to home? You to work? This acts as a common denominator between his masculine brain and my autistic, hyper vigilant brain and we spring board the conversation from there. This method has seen us through good times and bad, hard times and relaxed times. All of these things have helped make a haven for our family so they can feel safe enough to go and come back. Happy new year and best wishes for 2023 😊
💙Fantastic video. Even tho I am 73, your channel continually holds my interest. Your content is always genuine, enthusiastic, interesting because you plan and vary subject matter, and very importantly, you are consistent ! Planning on watching someone’s video and never knowing when it’s going to appear “drives me crazy”. God has given you talent for this and you provide witness to that. You are like family for me and I pray for our Father’s rich blessings to surround you and your beautiful family❣️
Thank you so much for this well thought out comment! I will keep trying to make content I love, and hopefully you love as well!
This was so inspiring! Thanks so much for sharing.
Feels like I've had a good chat with a friend... You're definitely one of my favs on CZcams! 🧡
Megan, I absolutely adore you and love your honesty. Thank God for you and I pray that your message gets to those who need it.
I love when you do videos like this, I always feel like we’ve just hung out and I really needed that this week! Thank you 💜
This is one of my favorite videos! Thank you so much for opening up and being so vulnerable with us. I’m feeling so inspired!❤❤
All of your videos inspire me, Megan, but this one in particular really hit home ❤️ Thank you so much for all your hard work and creativity! I find so much joy and encouragement watching you. Praying God’s blessings on you and your family this coming year!
Your videos always bring me so.micu joy and peace! I'm currently 5 weeks pregnant and I'm SO tired and watching your video in the middle of the day is such a nice motivation booster to push past this early pregnancy fatigue. Many blessings for the new year to you and your family!
Thank you for this beautiful, inspiring video! I loved your suggestions for moving forward into the new year and how to make it the best one yet. Happy new year to you and your family! ❤️
That Last message!!!! I am Catholic and I greatly admire your Faith and lifestyle . Thank you for imputting that last message little, subtle and just enough.
Ah Megan! The end of your video was such a heartwarming talk to your viewers. I am proud of you for sharing this so clearly with them! 💕
My word is Joy! Find joy in everything even though it’s small. Thank you for sharing. I love your channel!
Oh you’re just the sweetest Megan! Love the word “haven”! That word is in the name of where we live! And my husband was saying how he feels the ministry we currently lead should be like a haven this year! So cool.
Also love what you said at the end 💛
Thank you for your honesty. Love your ideas and the fact you can talk about your beliefs. You are a blessing.
Thank you for the 'soap box' section. I don't have a relationship with God, I'm not sure I even believe in God, but I find the way you speak so engaging and non-judgmental.
Happy New Year Megan to you and your family! I've ask God to bless and protect you and your precious family.
Appreciate your vulnerability. Happy, happy new year!!
Sounds like great goals! The vision board is so inspirational. Thanks for sharing that. Wishing you and your family blessings for 2023.
This video was so so helpful for me. I ordered your planner in November and just started using it today. I’m so excited for my goals for 2023. Thanks for producing such helpful content.
Loved this video and inspiration for getting into my own visions for the year. The holidays and getting sick have definitely thrown me off track, so this video is much appreciated!
I love your word for the year! Thanks for sharing your reset with us :)
I think my word for the year should be ENOUGH. There have been so many times as of late that I don’t feel like I am enough. I need to shift my mindset.
Thank you ❤️ We received news just after Christmas that our 4 year needs urgent brain surgery and we will be spending a lot of time in the hospital this year away from our older kiddos. My thoughts are spinning and this was a nice moment away. If you could say a special prayer for him, his surgery is January 27th. It’s a 4 hour surgery and I know only Jesus will give me the patience to get through those hours 🙏🏻
I pray for you and your family 🙏🙏🙏
I did my vision board yesterday, at the last day of the old year, and I absolutely loved it! It gives me the opportunity to saying goodbye to 2022 and focus on my ideal 2023. 🥰
Getting ready for work while my baby Is napping and toddler having quiet time. Hopped on hoping to find some inspiration to make my 2023 goals and BAM! Thank you for this video, hope you and your family had a wonderful Christmas and Happy New Year! 💗💫
I LOVE that word!! Haven. That’s going to be my word for the year. So much so that I’m printing it out and putting it on my wall! Thank you!
Thank you! This spoke to me, so I watched again, and made a board. It was honestly a relief and an excellent reset.
Megan I needed this video today. I have been having a tough day as a mama and so thank you for this. 💖🙏🙏🙏🙏💖💖💖🙏🙏💖
Oh dear. I hope everyone is well. So glad I could help in even a small way.🙏🧡
It makes my heart so happy to see you and your family what a delight. I have been having such a hard month especially with the loss of a dear friend the 24th and you make me 😊
Wow, what a hard Christmas!
Megan this video is filled with so many inspirational ideas and it’s one of your best videos so far! I’ve been a subscriber for 3+ years and I’m here too stay❤️ I’ll be making a vision board this year thanks to YOU!!! I loved and appreciated your closing remarks about knowing God ✝️
So excited, I just ordered a planner. Thank you. Happy New Year!
I loved this video. We are in our late 30s, and my husband and I have been through many of the same things you and your husband have been through. I've never made a vision board for the year (I also used to be a teacher and lists were my jam), but I feel really inspired now to do something more visual that I can reference all year (instead of shoving in a drawer). I really appreciated your tip for making the vision board phone-friendly. And while my religious beliefs are different (I'm a traditional Roman Catholic), your love of Our Lord is beautiful and contagious. Thank you for all of your content!
Hi Megan,
I just wanted to say a big Thankyou for a very inspirational vlog. The words at the end said it all to me.....
May you and your family have a lovely 2023 xxx from here in Cornwall, UK
Just ordered the datebook this morning! Still thinking about 2023 and what I want for myself. Organizing and self care are definitely on the list!
This was very inspirational. I am going to make a vision “board” like you did to help me create a healthier life for myself and my husband this year. We do not have kids yet, but you inspired me to think about some new things regarding raising children one day, and there are some habits we can start now. Thank you!
I loved your sharing at the end about the lover of our souls! I could not do life without Him! God bless you & your family in 2023
Thanks for staying to the end!!
I've been waiting for you to find your voice in sharing Jesus more directly and this was music to my ears and joy to my spirit. Bless you for what you're doing. You model excellence with humility. You've grown and your channel has grown beautifully.
You are such an inspiration❤️ Thank you for all you do!
I love watching your videos as I clean and do chores around the house! Thank you for your honesty and sharing such great ideas concerning homemaking. Keep up the good work! God Bless!
Beautiful video, so helpful. Blessings to you in the new year!
Thank you for sharing your thoughts to those who do not know Jesus, our Lord and Savior. It’s sometimes hard to know what to say without being pushy. I feel blessed I grew up in a Christian home. I enjoy your videos.
I’m trying this this year! My word is “consistency”
Happy 30th Megan! I will admit..turning 30 was a hard one for me..I remember well. it seems like just a few years ago but I am actually turning 60 this year! It's AMAZING how fast life goes and just HOW FAST those kids grow!
From your neighbor across the Susquehanna River- I always enjoy your videos! I usually try to do some kind of goal setting, but this year an unexpected move threw everything for a loop and I still feel like I'm trying to get my sense of normal back. I am going to try doing a vision board on Canva this year to keep my goals in front of me all year long. Thanks for all you do- Happy New Year!
I was really inspired after this video and made my own intention board for 2023. The way Megan explained her reason for creating her board and her process to make it seemed fun and low pressure. I used Canva for the first time using her instructions and I had so much fun (but in a zen way, lol) creating my intention board for 2023. The word I chose is Peaceful and I love looking at the pictures I chose and the positive intentions I have for this year. Having it as my phone wallpaper has been really helpful and looking at it makes me feel inspired but also peaceful ✌️. Thanks for the suggestion and tutorial!
Wonderful content as usual with a relatable, transparent delivery style that’s a delight to receive. Don’t doubt that you’re doing a great job - you are! Especially as Christ’s ambassador, your primary purpose, to your children, husband, family, friends and those watching your content across channels. 🙏🏻
Great video today! Thank you so much. Happy New Year 🎉
Happy new Year to you and your family!!!
Thank you for your content, Megan! You encourage me to strive to be a better wife, mom, and woman of God. There aren’t a lot of people who truly show God through their videos, and I feel like you do that so well. Happy New Year!
Hello Megan, I have been following you for quite some time and this is my favorite video! Thank you for sharing yourself and your family with us in such a meaningful way ❤
Wow, thank you! That was so kind of you to say. I needed it. CZcams isn't pushing this one out as much so it can be kind of discouraging. So glad you liked it!
I'm sure you understand! By the way, you're crushing it lately! Keep up the good work!
Love, love, love the ending!
Uuuggghhh, every time I watch you, my head spins on organizing my house! I love all your vlogs, and look forward to each and every one of them! God Bless, and have a very blessed New Year! Much love from East Tennessee! 🥰🥰🙏🙏💕💕
I loved what you said in the last 2 minutes Megan!!! 💛
Thank you for this video Megan. Your thoughts were conveyed very well! I appreciate all you do! God bless you.
Living in the moment is my thought too. Great video thanks for sharing Happy New Year!!!!🎉
I’m so excited!… I literally just started the video but I look forward to this every year!
Oh Megan you are already a light! Although I’m a grandmother, you encourage and inspire me! I know you do the same for others all around you. I enjoy watching your videos. As a Pastor’s wife, I love that you share your faith and you let that light shine! May God bless you and your precious family in the New Year! 😀❤️
My vision board is on hold for this minute. Not sure what to think with a possible cancer diagnosis. Mom of 4 including a newborn. If you're the praying type, I'd be so appreciative ❤️ Love your videos Megan, they bring me so much joy.
🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻
Amen sister in Christ ❤. Great chat and welcome to a new, beautiful year!
Kindness. Absolutely so hard to do with the ones we love the most. I needed this reminder too.
I almost feel like I can't say "I love you" to my husband or children because I am so often none of the qualities that love is; patient, kind, gentle, self-controlled, not rude or arrogant, it does not insist on its own way. Love is to bear all things, believe all things, hope all things, and endures all things.
Great video! Making that vision board sounds so involved to me. Last year I printed pictures and then cut and pasted mine into my planner.
We have been wanting to begin embracing & celebrating The Sabbath (in our own way given the season we are in). I will do a weekly home blessing clean (see Flylady method) and then we will stop working a bit earlier - stop chores and any tasks too and we will have our Fancy Friday Family Feast. It’ll start the weekend off right. We will eat something fancier than normal, use our fancy dishes & tableware, light candles, turn on some Frank Sinatra and enjoy one another. Night ends with games, a movie and dessert (which we don’t have during the week).
I've never made or used a vision board but I think I will for 2023. It seems like it'll be helpful! Thanks for the ideas!
Vision boards are used by witches, it is a form of sorcery. Doreen Virtue has a great video about why we should not use them.
Thank you so much for this video! This was one of the best you have done so far 😊
I love the idea of having the vision board as wallpaper. Perfect place to see it often.
Yes I love it !!! Thank you for the inspiration!!
I’m also 30 (turned in September) as I’ve gone over my goals and ambitions this year I’m also feeling that “not sure what to make as a goal” type of feeling. I think it’s bc we’re probably subconsciously happy with who we’ve become and now it’s just about tweaking little things and not necessarily building from the ground up like it has been in the past.
I've been waiting for this video, I started back in October too thinking about what the word for next year will be. Mine is Reslience. To go along with my word for this year which was grounded. Thanks for sharing you goals and giving the opportunity invite us into that.
Thanks a lot🥰. Especially the end sounds like being filmed just for me...
I am a grandmother...and I love your podcast! I am not particularly religious, and I still love all of your faith based comments and how true you are to yourself. I have a question for you-- Your congregation looks young to me. Did it split off from an older congregation? How does that work? Are different churches believing slightly different things? I love your values and how you like to ponder 'most anything. Happy 2023!
Great video ! Especially the witness at the end!
My word for last year and again this year is intentional. I want to be intentional with everything I do. I fell short at some times this year, and I want to keep the intentional mindset through the next year.
Absolutely love your video's. I myself am a mom of 3 boys and love seeing how you do life. I'm very much like you only my community is stricter with everything. Love your family🥰
I'd love to hear your birth control story! I went on birth control when I got married because that's just what I thought you was suppose to do. It totally, totally wrecked me! I'm still having issues with my cycle and I've been off birth control for 4 years. Natural Cycles are amazing! Girls need to know that the Family Awarness Method works and there are other options out there besides regular birth control.
Thanks Megan! ♥️
Praise God for you, Megan! Thanks for another great and inspiring video! ❤
Love your video you are awesome you have a beautiful family Happy New year's and see you and 2023 have a blessed Thursday afternoon ❤️
Haven, that’s interesting. The first thing I thought of was my scripture portion for 2023 which is Psalm 23. Making your home a haven is awesome, your kids will appreciate that in the long run.
Loved this! Especially your closing remarks 🙏🏾
Thanks for watching to the end!

I've just created my first vision board, thank you for sharing, I found it really hard to come up with a word of the year but I decided on Serenity in the end. Happy New year, thank you for your great videos and the work you put into them. I have chosen 'God help me to be loving, kind & forgiving towards others Ephesians 4:32 (particularly my husband as I need to work on that more, show my appreciation more) that I have added to my gratitude journal, it's good to have a daily reminder.
Love that you use your voice and platform to share how important God is to you and how much He loves you. Your personal testimony is worth more than you will know, You have an audience most of us will never have to share God's love for the all the nations. And thanks to this video, my daughter (12) and I both got on canva and made vision boards for the very first time! Thanks for the idea and encouragement to make goals. I also made a "word" for the very first time! Every video always inspires and motivates me to be a better wife and mother. Thank you!
I was just thinking of my goal for '23 and couldn't wait to see your video about your vision board
Wow.. Megan you say it so well, regarding a relationship with Jesus. Thank you so much for your heart reaching out to others about Him. His presence, guidance and care is so real.
My husband left his job of 8.5 years this summer~ it was so stressful for me!! I supported and encouraged him but secretly it was so stressful, because change is hard. I wasn’t sure how the oncall would be, flexibility for family needs/emergencies, insurance, ect… It’s been 5 months and I am so thankful he has this new job! God has answered so many things from it and looking back I can see His hand in it all.
I will pray for Josh and his decision.
I really appreciate your thoughts on your marriage - I think that is something I need to prioritize this year as I’ve been pregnant and pretty miserable for months now. I started reading a book this year called Seven Principles For Making Marriage Work (still not finished) but it’s really left an impression on me in that the premise is that the strongest relationships are based on a mutual genuine friendship, which means making memories and having deep conversations. It’s definitely written from a secular perspective but it had a lot of great practice exercises. I actually listened to the audiobook with my husband on a road trip and that was huge, that I wasn’t just telling him what to do but we were learning together. I want to make room to do more of that together this year (God willing with a newborn and 3 year old 😅)
