- In this travel video, we highlight the beautiful town of Guatape Colombia. If you've never been, then you're definitely in for a real treat. If your looking to just kick back and relax, you can definitely do that, however if your more of the active type, the city definitely lights up at night. Also the food! That's one hell of a climb to the top. You can take a tour bus that will take you there, feed you lunch, go on a boat ride and visit the town of Guatape for $40 us. The price to go up the rock is separate.
You guys the tour in the USA or out there? Probably cheaper out there right?

It's actually Penon Guatape because of the two tribes in that part of Colombia.
I was always under the impression that el Peñon was the rock and Guatape was the town
@@andrewcaicedoortiz3397 you´re right. Peñon comes from the word "peña" which means boulder or rocky mountain. Peñon means "peña grande" or huge boulder. Guatape is the town

Guatape is the WORST place to go in Colombia. Do not wast your time
Why? It’s right there next to Medellin. If you’re out there you may as well visit
