A lot of little plushes will come with a slit in the back because it’s for GOOD LUCK CHARMS! There are many ways you can add a charm to them.
-Add a lucky coin
-A felt (or paper) heart with a special word written on it
-Write a wish on a piece of paper and roll it up inside
-Write your word of the year in it
-any five year or yearly goals you wish to accomplish
Then you loosely stitch it together. I like using different colored thread and cross stitches so I can open them if I have something written down inside. For the lucky coins, I stitch it closed.
I think this must be it! My daughter in law is Chinese - coins are often used as good luck charms. You might put one in your bed, for example.

I wonder if Customs opened it - all the various bits may have looked suspicious!!
They do usually put a sticker on the box if they have, though (I am the daughter of a Customs Officer!)

That was definitely customs.
I've had stationery boxes opened by customs before.
Sometimes they see something suspicious either on the label or when they x-ray them.
Sometimes it's just "a random check".
Every time they seal the box back with a new sticker and attach a note. This is in Argentina btw.
It is always fun watching your videos. The cats in disguise was great. Especially the expression of that brown bear. Love the stationary too. And those poor stuffies cut open like that was not nice. What were they thinking? A crime against the stuffies. Great video. Thanks for sharing!

My little toys have always had a slit in the back. I have no idea why either.
I have a bigger version of this pencil case and I love it so much, also have a huge one from the same brand, they are amazing!!
I was so sure that the mildliner brush pens had a different tip in the other side of the brush! Thats why i considered buying them! Its labelled 'superfine' so i thought that would be different to the 'fine' bullet tip on the regular ones 😞 x
The brush pens I have do have a different fine tip. I haven't finished watching the video. Maybe zebra has updated them since I bought them. I got them years ago when they first came out
my plushies also arrived like that. I Thought it was the quality of the toy. If any costums is going around SP boxes, it's happening before leaving their country.

I recently received my first order from them and had the same thoughts. A couple of pens (freebies) where out of their barrels and in pieces around the box. I thought the plushy was one of those things we can put at the top of a pencil to make it cute, hence the hole xD
I think some people put those plushies on the end of a pen in a pen cup, but I don't know if that was the actual intent of the design. They come like that for me in the USA as well.

I think the confidential roller thing would be really useful to use on old bank statements etc you're throwing away or just redacting your address from letters and packages before discarding those
OMG. Thats where that stinking Cat Toy is from! I found it under my couch and we've all been trying to figure out wtf it came from. xD
my soft toys from them always have those holes in them too! I figured it was manufacturing issues, because the areas haven't been sewn, rather than being snipped open (you'd see the clipped threads).

I prefer the trap door - I always seem to lose the caps - or my Maltese might have a secret stash somewhere 😂
My purple bunny had a hole in the back too but the box was still sealed.
My stuffed things also come with holes in them. Different country - very different postal services. It's not your folks.
I have had the little plushies in the past and some had a pin needle (like a safety pin) attached to the back. Maybe these were supposed to have one but never got it put in. I also wondered because in my last order I got a plush with a slit in the back as well...

My rabbit plushie also have that slit on the back and I just put it against my brushes so that I won't see it. Today, I still don't have the faintest idea why it's like that
It’s for a good luck coin! You put like a coin or a handwritten word or wish on a paper heart and put it inside. Then you stitch it up.

37:37 There are thick grafitti pens that looks like pencils. I think they are easy to use. Maby I would sharpen mine with a craft knife if it's needed?

When I ordered from SP, no one opened my box, it was all still wrapped lovely, but my yellow bunny also had a little slit in the back, so wonder why?

18:35 It's _not only_ a first world problem. For people with artrisis (spelling?) or other problems with their hands can benefit from not having the cap on the glue roller.

I thought the slit in the plushes was so they could be finger puppets.
Normally finger puppets would have a slit at the base, and only have cushioning where the head is/tip of finger sits 😊 we have a good explanation in the pinned comment though!
