I am actually welsh but live in scotland as my grandchildren are all living in scotland beautiful country my gran was irish but I'm sorry know how you feel but I hate weather.in 5 years I lived there I have ached to just be able to go home sit in my warm sunny garden but in scotland there is sun but always a cold wind.but the pipes make me feel so proud even though I'm not scottish .
I sadly live now in scotland from south wales it's always cold but hearing bag pipes anytime brings tears and pride.

We were lucky to be there for the Edinburgh military tattoo , the atmosphere and the performance was an unforgettable evening. @@steffenlauge - I agree. I just had a new grandson born on Good Friday. I’m in Indiana and they live in Maryland. In terms of driving since you’re not from the US, it would be about 14 hours. I usually fly out there. I don’t like the long drive. But, my grandson will be 4 months old before I get to hold him. And like you, I hope they either find a cure or a vaccine!
This song was played aloud by a person in his balcony for all of us, quarantined in apartments in Buenos Aires, to enjoy on Easter Sunday. I made me want to know who wrote it, since it is beautiful and deep. Brings peace and reminiscence of nicer times.

OMG...when I first heard Hallelujah sung by Leonard Cohen I loved it immediately and have since listened to different artists singing this beautiful song but THIS BY Far tops everything I have heard until now. And the beautiful scenery in the background!! I know I will be listening to this version of Hallelujah in the future many many times and know that I will be at peace.

We went to Scotland and Ireland last year. Such a trip of a lifetime! Everything you’ve ever heard of the beauty of these two countries, is so true and then, some more. You have never seen anything as green as their countryside. The landscape and castles of old, tell of their history. You just want more and more. You can take hundreds of pictures, but there is no better way to appreciate the beauty , than seeing it with your own eyes. I hope you get the opportunity to go see Scotland and Ireland. So beautiful! Worth whatever the price. I hope to return one day, if not, I will cherish my precious memories of our time there. Truly magical🥰

This reminds me of my visit to the Highlands and to the Orkney Islands! It's my heritage, as well as Irish and British. It was like a spiritual experience for me. I wanted to touch everything and go everywhere my ancestors had likely touched and been. It made me feel more connected. This is truly Gods country! I hold these memories close to my heart!
I too was moved and felt like I had walked this country before. DejaVu. Scotland, Ireland and most of the British Isles are my heritage. Scotland moves me more than any of the others. It was like going home when we went to Scotland.
@@djmc4251 I already knew about my heritage to some degree but did my DNA through Ancestry.com and was rather surprised. 70% British, 27% Irish and Scottish and 3% Norway. Either way, I knew I was connected. It felt like going home. Be safe and be well!
The castles in Scotland and Ireland are so wonderful. The one in Edinbourgh sits on a mountain and at night is lit up and looks like it is suspended in air - fantastic. I love the bagpipes so much! I could listen to Celtic Thunder all day and night.

My Scottish ancestry speaks to me when I see scenes such as this. We visited Scotland in 2017 and yes, it is prettier than the pictures. I recommend it to all. It did awaken a deep old feeling in me of deja vu.

I learned one year ago that on my mom's side we have Scottish in us. My mom and her family never knew that. There is also Swedish and Finnish. I knew about Finnish. But my son did the ancester stuff and learned about Swedish. Aye, I love the pipes.
