A lot of Canadian infrastructure is 50-70 years old and near the end of its life. All level of gov'ts are going to have to get back to basics on the things the last 3 generations have taken for granted-heat, potable water, electricity, roads etc.
We love you all three of you David, Jordan and Scott too.
Ohh. Lol
Love the podcast and all of you. No loathing here.
Gotta say this in response to your last segment guys. I don't loathe you, far from it. I like to check it to see what the boomers and Gen X are thinking. Also, Scott, the way Pierre is communicating through CZcams is providing me with a tangible rationale for what he may do. The platitudes are for another generation, young people want to be explained things in a educated way. It's almost like all of us went to university to get useless degrees.
University was a waste of time for me at age 18-21. Didn't learn anything taking general arts that I still remember.
People feel disenfranchised. Point finale. There's likely nothing leaders can do to quell the mods looking for accountability of why their lives have turned to shit.
The government response to the pandemic was terrible and the government doesn't even realize it.
@@kqh123 I enjoy this podcast but even political pundits, like these four, don't realize it. The Covid response disenfranchised a lot of people and its playing out in todays politics.

I’ve done the math ( back of the envelope stuff , I admit ) , and estimated some 30% of my inner social circle , lost their jobs to to lockdowns or refusal of the liquid Kool-Aid.
Of that 30% , NONE found jobs tha pay BETTER than their previous outfit.
This is a very real issue, which is being all but ignored by most Canadians.
I’m completely perplexed why many have chosen to pretend the past 4 years didn’t happen 🤷♂️
How to disenfranchise your electorate, and seed contempt and loathing for all politicians...
1. Use foreign money to get yourself nominated, and then subsequently elected. Lots of talk about foreign involvement, it's money people.
2. Pay yourself an exorbitant (electorate funded through taxes we are not "asked" to pay, but are forced to pay) salary topped with extra for showing up and doing your job, and even more for each time you get on a little committee.
3. Fiddle election dates so that even when you lose, you've been in long enough to get a pension for life, also funded by the same electorate.
4. Ensure the whole electorate sees you displaying your new found self entitled status and abuse it to the limit.
5. When called out for bad behavior, make sure you accept the report, but disagree with it (that ones getting old).
6. Get on the Hurle Burley and say, just elect more of your own party so you will get more of your own tax dollars back where you live, and get away with saying it (Randy).
7. Act like you all know so much better and more than the filthy electorate.
8. Feel free to lie to your electorate, because you know nothing will ever happen to you when you are caught.
I could go on, but the abuse, while completely wrong and not in any way condonable ever, can be traced back to the behavior of the politicians. Yes the crazys are still crazy, but if you don't poke the bear, over, and over, and over, it won't try and eat you.
Love the podcast Herle (if you see this)
But my goodness, the discussion on politics becoming mean and providing answers for 'why' was obtuse. Totally out to lunch.
There's a cost of living crisis with two generations getting grinded to dust as they slowly watch any future dwindle away.
And the political class, including you guys, seem perfectly content with it and no ambition to improve people's lives. Instead policy continues the same (massive immigration in a housing crisis) and choose to make things worse.
The housing crisis is the source of this discontent. It's the source of everything wrong in the country. And the Liberals CHOOSE to make it worse.
That whole conversation about NSICOP felt like the longest dance around "Trudeau is on the list, isn't he?"
I mean it's achingly obvious. The bank charter, the bulk donations from the Chinese community in the GVRD, the cash for access, the Liberal organizer that orchestrated that dinner being someone that China allegedly had leverage on, the foundation donation and statue...
I always watch you on CZcams & look forward to it
The only podcast I never miss ... No loathing here! Scott always makes me laugh out loud at least once an episode too 👏👏
Another 5 star show guys:) "Solar Domes", go sell crazy somewhere else. Were all full here. Nail it Scott! Finally a win. David well.... its your show, you gotta be there.
49:59. An argument should be made about Trudeau and the intense gaslighting. Since 2015
Speaking of the abuse towards Politicians and the resignation of Shannon Phillips largely because of the illegal surveillance by the Lethbridge Police department with the Crown deciding not to prosecute. Danielle Smith responded in an interview with Ryan Jesperson on Real Talk with 'I'm sorry she felt that way.' Graham Thompson an Alberta journalist the next day on Ryan's show indicated just how much Smith minimized Shannon Phillips experience of abuse. I totally agree.
Central Canadians should come to the interior of BC for the summer, what your experiencing right now is normal weather here. That said its nice, cool and rainy here right now.
I’d love to, but Mark Holland says if I travel I have to hold my piss for 10 hours and I’m complicit in burning the planet to the ground.
@@pt93music Lol.. its more than funny watching people (from Ontario and Quebec) around politics frame a heat wave as climate change. Just totally unconnected to the weather we get here.
@@Griff1984we used to call 32 degrees “a nice summers day.”
Now it’s hell on earth and the end of civilization as we know it.
@@pt93music yup
Lol 20 years ago it was summer. 2024 it’s a “heat dome of death” 🤣
I agree with Scott: the challenge we face is a prime minister who does not seem to be in control or competent. I dream of the day he just takes charge. It provides comfort: think COVID 19
"harden his position on Han Dong" should have been the title
I never hear a word from the panel about the deficit and the 1.2 trillion debt
Sorry Mr. Herle, us positive people don’t really leave comments on CZcams. There’s a negativity bias with online comments since it’s a much stronger emotion compelling someone to comment. True about most of the internet in general. Also you keep calling your CZcams viewers weirdos, so you are going to get some venom in return!
Switching out Justin Trudeau won't necessarily help. The alternatives haven't had 20 megabucks of Conservative ads defining them right out of the gate.
I love the show, and support it by liking and sharing on social media and with my friends, sorry if my suggestion last week came off wrong.
I don't understand why you all don't acknowledge and understand the PM's coercive covid Jonestown Jab policies resulted in vast public resentment, especially by those who were injured or lost lost loved ones and blame politicians and senior bureaucrats.
Two wrongs don't make a right. It's one thing to protest and express anger at a politician, but it's completely different to light someone's garage on fire or harass their kids on the way to school. This kind of behavior is not just limited to the Right. For example, when Harper was Prime Minister, he was often compared to Adolf Hitler at protests, and there was an incident where climate protesters in Vancouver made a paper Mache of Harper and set it on fire. Such actions only serve to escalate tensions and does nothing to justify anything.
@@lukethomsen7786Harper didn't mandate anything on the public though. He may have made some poor policy decisions, but what Trudeau did was way worse
@@kqh123 I take your point about Trudeau and I agree he's done a horrible job as Prime Minister, my concern is if violent and threating behavior is normalized or excused, it will get worse and someone will get actually get hurt. my hope is this all goes with Trudeau when he leaves office. But it won't if people keep justifying violent protesting - today it's the Trudeau Liberals, next it will be the Poilievre Conservatives.
@@lukethomsen7786 correct, however, grief is often followed by rage, then a blind thirst for vengeance, and politicians and senior bureaucrats are in the cross hairs. This could get very ugly.
@@lukethomsen7786 Justin didn't help things by referring to protestors as "fringe minority, racist, misogynistic". I know he said he regretted saying it but it's his job to be the adult in the room and bring down the temperature.
Jordan: your Hey you the previous week exhorting Jag to end his confidence/supply with the liberals fell on deaf ears. Jag is now saying this is not the time for an election because of foreign influence. If you have any pull with this guy, please for the love of God talk some sense into him.
As far as climate change and heat dome. Wsut 3 days and you will be turning on the heat
Aww, I don’t loathe you guys. I wouldn’t be checking in each week if I didn’t love you
