- In this video, I'm in Whistler Canada for Crankworx Joyride and its contest day the big show. after a very long wind hold it became a one run contest so the aim of the game was to just get to the bottom of the hill. so i played it semi safe just so i got a run and definitely didnt think i was going to end up in the podium but I'm over the moon my 2nd podium and my 2nd bronze medal.

Congratulations man, awesome run! Your runs, style and tricks in my opinion are way more exciting etc than Emils. Think you should have gotten 1st or 2nd ahead of him. Keep killing it and progressing, you'll be in that Numero Uno spot in no time
emile is doing 4 tricks per jump opposite, no one is beating him
@@justlamb never said he wasn't but the bar spins etc more technical tricks just aren't as visually or emotionally exciting or fun to watch as the runs like Tom etc do. It's my opinion/what I prefer doesn't mean you or anyone else has to agree lol
I agree, way rather watch isted pull cork flip variations than bar spin/tail whip/no hander combos. It's all subjective tho, no hate to the other competitors.
@@oppossumX yeah for sure, Emil is super talented but his combos all look the same and are not exciting visually etc especially in a big competition like whistler after he's done the same run essentially at every other comp this year. Tom and a few others I'd much rather see do their style of run and tricks

I wanted to say though, they need to stop scheduling these events for the middle of the afternoon. If you ask any paraglider pilot when the windiest time of the day is in the mountains they'll all tell you middle of the afternoon. The meteo wind (high up wind coming from elsewhere) might play a role but the valley breeze (caused by local thermal activity) is pretty much a guarantee either way.
