This video is all about how to propagate Anthurium by division. This is the easiest and more fail proof way to increase the number of Anthurium in your collection, or to create divisions to ship to friends and family.
In this video I am demonstrating on a Flamingo Flower Anthurium andraeanum but this is the same method you would use for all other Anthurium, such as Anthurium crystallinum, Anthurium clarinervum, Anthurium warocqueanum, Anthurium vittarifolium, Anthurium veitchii, Anthurium magnificum, Anthurium regale, Anthurium superbum, Anthurium plowmanii, and everything else. They all like to be propagated by division.
Especially when it comes to rare houseplants, there is a lot of risk involved when propagating due to the high costs of the plant material. So this tried and true method will help you divide all your precious Anthurium plants with confidence. #anthurium #houseplant #rareplants #propagation #plants

Loved your video on dividing Anthuriums. I have 2 right now that have to be repotted. You made it simple and not scary. I have been watching your family on QVC for many years, fantastic!!!!

These really are one of the sweetest plants! I love the personal story you have with it. I have a friend who has been gifted anthuriums for the same, and now you are all making me fall in love with the plant! ❤

Nice video! Have you ever tried to grow them in water? There used to be a woman on you tube from Latvia? who grew huge anthuriums in water. When I repot I use a clear tote because I got tired of cleaning up the dirt mess I always made all over when repotting with other methods! 🌿🌱🌵

Great video. I have an anthurium that doesn't seem to be making more plants but, rather, the two that it started with just seem to be getting taller, almost making a "trunk" with no more leaves. I feel like there might be a new baby plant growing OFF of one of those trunks. I'm looking to give these plants a boost. Looking for any advice. Your plant room is AMAZING.

Great video! I have a question, I was thinking about putting my Anthurium on a moss pole instead of re-potting. What do you think?

What species of Anthurium do you have? It depends on which you have whether it’ll climb up or not

Hi Devin, I got a couple questions for you. Why divide the plant up, if you are just going to repot them all back into the same pot together? Couldn't you just left it as it was an just repot it up into a different container, without putting the plant thru more stress?

If I repotted them in a larger pot without separating them, it wouldn’t grow as large

Does all anthurium species self-pollinate? Thanks for sharing.

Are you trying to produce seeds? I'm not sure of any Anthurium that self-pollinate. i believe they all need a conduit such as an insect or wind to help the process in the wild

      I accidentally said self-pollinate, I meant produce pups…offspring. Sorry.

Is it in too large of a pot? They like to be in somewhat small pots to flourish
