    The guy student standing up for the girl student in a classroom over bs dress codes that tend to only effect girls in these scenarios is awesome. Women supporting women has been a trope for a long time and obviously shouldnt stop but men supporting women (and vise versa for that matter) should be just as encouraged. Love it.

      I already commented this before on another one, but hi. An explanation and rant from a high schooler (currently 17), who has seen far too much and studied law.
      (Sorry if it seems aggressive or aimed towards you, I'm kinda sick of some of the people in my gen, and very fed up with gen alpha)
      Alright, so as effed up as it is, I do have to point this out: every rule is put in place for a reason. P3d0philia, children trying to be "adults", others who weren't taught to respect boundaries, school sh00tings, etc. The schools are liable in all of these situations. As effed up as it is alot of it is for your safety, most are for the school's safety tho. Also, a lot of the rules are exaggerated due to students pushing the rules to the breaking point. Three finger rule is because there was a fashion phase where students wore spaghetti straps so show off their cleavage to boys in a few schools. The rips are because they can get caught on objects and lead to injuries, or if their large or high enough, they can be actually revealing. My school has a no spiked chokers rule because somebody used one as a weapon. Im 17, and I've seen way too much. Not everyone is taught how to respect others, and school is "supposed" to be a safe environment. The rules are there to ensure your safety, as in: prevent over s3xualizing students, injuries, cheating, etc.
      Teachers have a dress code, too, for a similar reason. There's a weird number of students who over s3xualize teachers.
      Also a weird amount of students who think they're ready for "adult" situations. Being over s3xualize, using dr7gs or v8ps, starting fights, etc. None of its cool, especially when it's not even a high schooler, just a middle schooler who thinks their loss of innocence makes the cool. It doesn't, btw, it just makes you traumatized and s7icidal.
      Anyways, hopefully this helps others understand why the rules are how they are.

    • @Tribulatio_double
      @Tribulatio_double Před 2 měsíci +96

      @@wutsit2ya that is a great explanation, I know it didn't sound like it due to my comment not being fully explained but I'm aware of the rules and why they are there and I get it and fully support the attempt to not have the children or the adults sexualized, however the school I went to didn't hold every girl to the same standards, they literally just a girl by their bOOb size and wrote them up even when they didn't break a rule. I'm not saying all schools do this but I am specifically complaining about the school I went to (this is just a response and I apologize if it sounds rude, also it's probably best not to say your age on CZcams, for safety reasons)

    • @wutsit2ya
      @wutsit2ya Před 2 měsíci +49

      @Tribulatio_double you're not rude in the slightest. I do agree, they really should have more equality to it across genders. Another note I must ad tho is it's a little hard to be equal when enforcing the rules or making them because of how many students genuinely believe that they're being singled out for whatever reasons. But in alot of cases it is just arbitrary and really every school needs to handle it better.
      (Also I'm aware abt the age thing, I didn't start saying it till recently, and I only feel comfortable doing so because whatever people do with that information can't be worse than what irl people have done with it. I do appreciate the concern tho :)

      @@heidichinn8095I semi-disagree with you. I don't think someone should have to "look away" from a girl because of what she's wearing. If you don't want to get looked at, please consider a different outfit. They cannot get in trouble for simply looking at someone. Another thing is that teaching boys to be "feminists" is what makes a lot of them dislike women in the future. I'm saying this as a 17 year old boy with 11 sisters. We shouldn't raise kids to "respect women" simply because they are women. Teach them to respect everyone who has earned their respect. I'm not dismissing any unfair rules because I agree that some of them are genuinely exaggerated, but if you are still in school, PLEASE just obey the dress code. There are some kids in my school who have gotten expelled for wearing clothing that isn't allowed. Again; this is only because what you do in school can determine your future, not because I agree with the rules.

      an incomplete list of the things i have been dress coded for in uniform:
      - top button on my shirt wasn’t done up despite it choking me
      - my skirt was too short, which i could not fix as the school only let us wear specific skirts which used a hip-length ratio that did not fit me
      - my bra was visible underneath my school shirt, which again was a specific brand and is uncomfortably thin. this is an all girls school, everyone is wearing a bra.
      - my socks were over my knees
      - i had a coat on in -2°C weather
      - i didn’t have my blazer on in a 45°C classroom
      one of my classmates was forced to buy a new £50 blazer because the headteacher said hers was too sun-faded after five years of use. he apparently thought it looked too much like our brother school’s uniform, which is actually a brighter green.

      Fr.. like when I was in highschool (right before covid) the students in my classes never helped and always made it worse..
      Like.. I literally got dresscoded one time for wearing a shirt that was a size smaller because it "emphasized my chest and caused others to get distracted".. funny enough.. it was still baggy on me and the only one distracted was my 11th grade religion teacher..
      But yeah.. honestly atp middle schoolers and high schoolers aren't getting any better.. it's also just really poor parenting and shit society 😭🖐️

      the spaghetti strap thing is actually so it doesnt rip! our pe teacher back in elemantary gathered us all up and explained the reason for dress code, and spaghetti straps can rip easily, though it can be seen as teachers sexualizing students, its actually just so the shirt doesnt rip and fall off!

    It's legitimately creepy how this argument always goes. And it's never because the STUDENTS have some sort of problem or are showing signs of disruption due to the outfit item either. It's always the TEACHERS who are disturbed, and the students never give a sh1t about it and generally don't notice until its called out by the teacher.
    Which means that it's NOT a problem for the students. Which means its NOT a distraction or disruption for STUDENTS... just for the teachers.
    That's creepy asf and will never stop being creepy. They have the ability to just ignore it until it ACTUALLY disrupts the students learning by something other than the teacher getting dramatic. When they CHOOSE to take issue with something that isn't disrupting the students, on grounds of disrupting students, its because THEY are being "effected" by it.

    • @bakaichigo
      @bakaichigo Před 2 měsíci +1

      Nevermind that it's just plain stupid to have restrictions for things like shoulders and collarbones... Why is it on the person wearing the clothes to moderate for other people? Why aren't they just sending the disrupted kids out of the dang room for being weird and pervy?
      Because MOST kids of age to have this issue with their clothes GENERALLY aren't just out there becoming mindless zombies mid-class because OOP someone has a shoulder out!
