What she destroyed is the credibility of all the institutions that are supposed to help DV victims, but were in this case siding with an abuser, and the media who still want to convince the public that the abuser is a victim and the victim an abuser.

I was never a Depp “fan”, not against him, not for him either. When I first heard the allegations against Johnny, I believed Amber because I thought a woman would never lie about being beaten. THEN, I listened to the trial. I was horrified at what was done to Johnny, the gaslighting,the bullying. Absolutely, I agreed with Rottenborn on this. 1 incident of abuse would be all it would take. One piece of corroborating evidence of him abusing her, excepting reciprocal proportionate verbal abuse, because it was self defence, would have done it for me. I might have been sympathetic but I wouldn’t have supported him. It was a low bar ( not a Barlow) for Amber and her legal team and they failed.

I don't know her personally so we have to judge her on what we saw - she pretty much does what all lawyers do by zealously defending their client but she went well past that and seemed to me she pushed into ideology and made it a personal cause which came across saturated in desperation.
She was just bad at the simple things like time management and constructing the case and even basics like asking a question seemed hard for her, thinking on her feet was hard so maybe other areas of law are more fitted to her skill set

Elaine, you are a lawyer, shouldn’t you be responsible, where were her medical witnesses, credible evidence, you knew she didn’t have it and kept trying to introduce the UK ruling, and the mistake made was Amber having to actually testify as it meant she had to remember all her lies, and changes in testimony, something she didn’t have to do in the UK. You have just disrespected the jury, the people who watched the case and the legal system altogether.
