  • It only seems like the other day I filmed this but it's a long time ago now ! I take a look at how diamonds are cut and go inside the Hotel Krasnapolsky in Dam Square.

Like everywhere in the world people have changed, but corncerning Amsterdam, it has been swamped by tourists and expats. Ordering a sandwich or a coffee in Dutch is like impossible. As a Dutchman and someone who has lived, worked and enjoyed schooling in Amsterdam, I just left the city, because it seems to be an international hub these days.

Lovely to see! I remember this era! Clubbing at the Mazzo on Rozengracht, the RoXY (when we could get in!), hitting the P96 bar on Prinzengracht about 0200 for a drink on the way home, and the lovely sunday art market on the Spui. Good times, good people 🥲
