Man, this was deep. Imagine being almost half a million subscribed youtuber content creator and having the same problems as everyday people. Social distancing has been a thing and social platforms, smartphones are the main reasons for this. I still have 5-6 friends trough the years that i wish happy birthday on them. Sometimes they don't return back, but big deal.

How I would fix Jacob and Esau/ Tainted Jacob and Esau: (Also QotR)
For Jacob and Esau, I would make it so they can change from one another at will. Then, I'd make it so they always have 2 item pedestals in the item room. Finally, I would make them opposites of each other. Meaning, if you get an item with a stat up and stat down as Jacob, then the stat down that Jacob takes to his stats goes to Esau as a Stat up. This makes it feel like playing a game of chess while playing that character.
For Tainted Jacob and Esau, I would make it so when Esau touches Jacob they swap; as if they are spirits fighting over one body. Just have Jacob and Esau chase each other back and forth as you play the character. Then reverse the effects of the stats, so stat ups are stat downs and vice versa. Making the character another game of chess but with additional levels to it.
So, Sin. My Question is, how do you feel about the changes I would make to Jacob and Esau/ Tainted Jacob and Esau?

Great start today with all of our stats being better than base Isaac with the exception of range. Our starting items are also perfectly serviceable, and we even got the Prayer Card in the first item room. The only downside is obviously the first floor Curse of the Labyrinth, but if we have to see that curse on a run, it's usually best on the first two floors. Our first Devil Deal nets us flight, movement speed, Lusty Blood and Sacrificial Dagger. Fantastic early game. We saw an unfortunate amount of active items we didn't end up taking, but despite that, the stat upgrades came in perfectly steadily. We topped it off with Death's Touch and took the victory from the Lamb.
Going over to Jasonator53's Repentance Eden Run Dunk Rating, we're looking at a 6 today. It's a good easy run with one or two pog tier items. The game went easy on us today, and that's pretty alright.

The more aggressive playstyle is fun. I mean, it's all fun, but ramming dudes face first with a knife is preeeeeeeeetty metal.

To the answer you gave about Jacob and esau being able to switch between them, I'd say how about any item picked up is shared as one inventory, the way to switch to esau is a pocket active similar to flip but uses half a heart per switch, when you are playing tainted version than esau would have a red form as usual with flight and to change to him you'd need to slay him every floor and than it charges your pocket active with esau blood making it where you can change to him.

Question of the day: Do you think a good improvement to tainted Jacob would be to turn dark Esau into a 4 star familiar after you beat Satan or a harder boss. that way you still have to go through the pain of beating the game with him but you are rewarded with a new cool familiar. (I don't think the familiar should do as much damage as dark Esau does normally but maybe with anima sola. )

Just finished T.Edens post it & for anyone in the Mosh Pit also grinding it out just prepare yourself for many,many,many runs that end in absolute misery. So many wasted items that got rerolled, uncontrollable damage from randomly rolling into Ipecac-esque items, & ending up with garbage stats & no health lol After hundreds of runs I saw Birthright once that I can remember & I ended that floor with 14 cents even after a full clear.... Good luck friends but as always it does feel good once its finally over lol
If I was to make any change to tainted Jacob, I would just make it so dark Esau scales at least a bit with damage against enemies per floor. He gives you both flight and the ability to take a free devil deal when in spectral form. I guess it would be nice if spectral form gave you a single holy mantle shield too with birthright.

Hello! If I may give a little piece of advice, you should not "complete a heart" with the prayer card if you have less than six rooms remaining on a floor, because you are just wasting charges. (The heart would "complete itself" entering the next floor)
now how would you know, without any mapping how many rooms are left?
