I love how excited and emboldened Kate was just before she figured out it was a set up. She had so much confidence. Should’ve listened to Jordan. The way Kate panicked is so funny. 😅
I'm also kinda surprised she didn't realize it was a trap, I mean she didn't just stop at gossiping(stalking) about students(Which is already huge grounds for being sued and arrested), she went as far as targeting their parents, a minor- student could get away with it and at least get off relatively ok, but a full adult-teacher being revealed to be Gossip Girl can get her into serious trouble.... Surprised she hadn't thought about that, shows how she really got corrupted by power of "being", Gossip Girl🤔☠️🥴
This was so satisfying, it shows the writers learnt from the audience feedback during season 1. And the post credit scene left it open for new people to take the identity of GG.
@@brandonbennett8368 Aki and Audrey doesn't deserve Max. Max got the short end of the triangle. Aki and Audrey had their drama and mostly left Max out of the loop.

@@brandonbennett8368 To be honest, during the beginning of S1, I thought that Aki would leave Audrey and go for Max since he had eyes for him the whole time. Not even Obie or others. Personally, I've found Max and Aki to fit better than other combinations.
The previous Gossip Girl was completely ominous. Kate loved the attention and the chaos she wrought so much that she got in way over her head, thinking she would be able to get away with it. The fact that she went to the restaurant and took the bait proves how much she had changed herself, and not in a good way.
I was waiting for this scene the entire time, esp watching the second season knowing it's the last. If Kate had gotten away with this, I would have raged. She was such an incredibly frustrating character by the end and it's nice to see the resolution.

It was showing how climate had changed between shows. Of course Kate gets arrested but back then lots of stuff passed in gossip girl. The amount of teachers kissing student of girls drugging girls was horrendous and woudnt slide today but back then they could use the weird it’s for plot move on thing. Meanwhile now that stuff is more nuanced and real so Kate trying the stuff actually brings up issues while Dan probably escaped thanks to the California 3 year statutes.
I think it’s also because Dan was a peer of those he wrote about, whereas she was a teacher doing this to her students. It’s way more predatory because she’s supposed to be an authority figure that protects them and she was anything but
Dan was a school boy when he started writing about his FELLOW students. It's not the same level of crime. Kate is a teacher in a position of authority over the kids.
Also, Dan didn’t create the drama he was surrounded by it and soo many people would send him tips about EVERYTHING including about the core four (core five if you count Jenny). Kate however, her and the other teachers thought they can “fix” the kids and tried to stir up shit to prove some type of point while in hindsight just got themselves in further trouble. I knew by episode four of szn one Kate just wanted the attention..not social justice

I know i wish they would have at least had a 3rd season i know people were let down with season 1 but season 2 was really getting it's footing
