The playing came out good but the sound of the bass drum and cymbals are not what I expected. I may do it again just to improve the sound. I might break down those fills too...

Andy Cippico In that video, they go on and on about Bernard Purdie and Rick Marotta and never even mention Steve. I'll bet there was a fallout between Steve Gadd and the guys.I also read he did this tune in one or two takes. They are not easy to work with.

Like yourself, I too was floored by this album and obviously the superb-incredible fills at the outro and mid section. The only other time this happend to me was when i first heard Tom Sawyer by Rush and US Drag/Windows by Missing Persons (Terry Bozzio). You seserve a A+++ for kicking this cover perfectly. Well done sir!!
Great work , to play one of gadds out standing tracks note for note it takes quite a bit of playing the track repeatedly over again until its correct, it also helps alot watching gadd do a seminar on that solo, again great job.

Almost eight-minute cover of one of the most difficult drum parts in rock...and everyone's losing their mind because you successfully knocked your sticks together once, isn't that just the way? :-D As everyone has said, OUTSTANDING job, I'm still working to just be able to do a serviceable version of this.
