This unit gets a lot less visibility than the Strymon, Walrus, UA, etc. equivalents, but it's really stellar. I have the mk 3 version which I use primarily for recording guitar direct without a real amp. I run my pedalboard right into it and it integrates really naturally. Maybe it's that analog front-end that allows it to gel so organically with pedals. Anyhow, great company, great product -- and a typically great demo! Thanks, RJ.

I hate about these cab/amp sim pedals that they are always bone dry and you need to loop in a reverb or delay effect.
I know they are not meant to insta-jam on your earphones as I use them, but all the earphone amps out there suck.
That's so true and on point! For that reason I have several versions of any IR file I use. All with different room-sizes and microphone-distances for hardware loaders without built in reverb or ambience, though I much prefer a simple knob for it.
Kool unit , like it a lot, but it makes it most useful for running through a interface direct approach I think right RJ? An for analog Recording U still need a Amp or just Amp combo to get it to work plus a PC just to change Amps and Or Cabinets? No, you don't need an amp with the Multicab but can also use it only in conjunction with pedals.
cant you run the send out into the multicab?
You could since it's a cab sim it can be run behind the amp (effx loops)
Is it better than the Strymon Iridium?
The Strymon is a mini modeller with a choice of amps and a choice of speakers.This is an ir. In short a choice of speakers. I use a Shiftline A+ cab Zone LE. It has 9 famous makers cabs, like Marshall etc. It is a bit smaller than an average pedal. I found a really cool thing. I put it at the end of my pedals going into the front of my combo amp and it creates the illusion that I have a full stack instead of a combo. The Shiftline has a lot less bells and whistles but the sound quality is killer. The Tsakalis is $275 ...the Shiftline is $200 but I bought it in 2020 for $100. I must admit I am impressed with the Tsakalis :-)

I actually managed to grab the first ever one of these sold when Thomann jumped the gun on the V4 release. Can't directly compare the Iridium but the Iridium has more gain, overdrive, etc... this is clean only unless you hit the front of it with a boost. This is also a combination of Analog and DSP. I was using a CAB M+ prior and like this better. The CAB M was great with a true preamp in front like a RevivalDrive, but the preamp Two Notes added to the + fell flat for me when I unloaded the RD. The clean analog preamp on this MultiCab is great... even with no other pedals at all. Also Chris Tsakalis responded to a couple questions personally and seemed like a really cool guy.

how is this pedal 'feel'? i mean, playing feeling. lots of cam sim feels 'fake'.

Interesting pedal, but why not use the Captor X? If you calculate the cost of this pedal, and the need for an "amp in a box" pedal, it's more cost-effective to buy the Captor X. And the Captor X works with all your amps!
Because some people wanna use it as part of a pedalboard-rig to carry around by bike or on train without any actual amp.
