Church choirs have forgotten about songs like this and many other traditional songs that uplift and make you feel like you can go on a little while longer. They have neglected the age group that were brought up on this music which is some of the reason they don't attend. I am 69 a Gospel Singer and Minister I have sung with Rev Cleveland and many other Gospel greats. The Reverend James Cleveland and and music Minister Harvey Watkins Jr. always bring tears to my eyea with their testimonies. You cant feel it unless you've lived it. I miss Reverend Cleveland dearly, and he was right. There is "Lifting for Me". Minister Watkins, "He's There All The Time", he truly is. I also tell folk "Dont Worry About Me", im gonna be alright. How are you, just wanted to update you all on Tiff...She had to stop Chemotherapy, she was due to start her 5th cycle this past Monday but after having a MRI on Saturday, they discovered a second Tumor on the right side of her Brain and it's Bleeding, so she's on a break until another MRI in 4 weeks to see where we stand as far as treatment. The world has forever been changed by his gift of music and musical legacy that he’s left us. Reverend Cleveland’s narration of a song is unmatched period. Just like timing is everything to a comedian, timing is everything when narrating a song and Reverend Cleveland just has that gift. Here are a couple of highlights for me: I love it at 1:54-2:00 where he stops the band, the choir sings, he brings back in the band, and the choir finishes the lyric. The timing on that was incredible!!! It’s been a while since I’ve seen the entire video so I’m not sure if that’s Butch on the drums but when he starts to get loud Reverend rips him a new one around 4:21-25 and from that point on he had no more trouble out of him - lol.

Cleveland and now that I am an adult as well as a mother, I am so grateful for his music, his testimony and above all the legacy of faith in the face of adversity he leaves behind, compelling us to trust in the same God he sang about over 30 years ago.
