My favorite QE2 moment was during the "Tea with Paddington Bear" skit when talking about their emergency sandwiches, she pulled hers out of her hand bag with "I keep mine in hyeah" thus settling the years-long speculation of what she actually kept in there :)
I read somewhere that she sometimes carried a piece of cake & a spare pr of stockings. But...of course...no need to carry a wallet lol.😊

The lady didn’t ask to be Queen ~ was never supposed to be Queen. Events out of her control led her to be the longest reigning monarch this country’s ever likely to see ~ and probably one of the best. Volunteered and served in the Auxiliary Territorial Service in WW2. Served the nation and commonwealth as Queen for 70 years 214 days and in that time saw more than 170 prime ministers in her realms come and go. Outlasted 5 Popes and 14 US Presidents. More than fulfilled her promise to serve the nation’s best interests ~ and had a wicked sense of humour.
She is greatly missed.

RIP you beautiful woman. May not be British but she had such an astounding presence and one of the most interesting histories of many of the monarchs. Being able to have fun and show a lighter side really made her such a standout on the world stage.

I'm an Irish woman and I adored the Queen she was an amazeing lady she never avoided her duty even though it was forced on her at such a young age. Greatly missed they don't make em like her any more. Rest in peace Your Majesty. ❤

That was absolute GOLD wasnt it! lol... I absolutely loved QEII - doesnt matter what others think - this Aussie thinks she was a stand out, brilliant lady with a wicked sense of humour and a massive love of horses - she was responsible for saving a breed of horse I love and have one of the stallion she bought that helped, great grandsons, he is my stallion and last horse left for me. He and I have a huge understanding and I love him to bits.

I miss her humor. She did so well for so long because she never seemed to let go of her inner child. Her smile at 10 was the same as her smile in her last years. Not many people can sustain that internal joy.

We can see clearly how she'll be missed. Always had a quick wit & willing to be a part of everything & everyone loved her whether they knew her or not. She met SO many people during her long reign including Sir Winston Churchill & Marilyn Monroe, omg, who didn't she know. I miss her so, so, much. Not because I'm a royalist, but because she was always there. Someone steady to always look towards in times of such strife and change. She was stabilizing, and I say this not as a subject of Her Majesty, but as an American who understand her value to the world, both as a person and as an omnipresent anchor. @nadejenks I'm an American and have never liked the King or Camilla. How he treated Princess Diana is a big reason for most of us. I remember when she passed and everything that came with it. I've always been interested in the Royal family,Her Majesty was absolutely one of a kind, not only the way she carried out her duties, but the heard work she put in for everything to go smoothly. Very classy and never faltered. She was extremely kind to Megan and did so much for Harry. Megan was never going to fall in line and be a royal. Sadly the way his grandparents were treated is absolutely disgusting. I knew William would marry Catherine, I'm extremely proud of who they've become. I think William will do Her Majesty proud. Love how she carried herself. She aged so well. Very elegant to the end. It was sad in her last days her being so frail. Not used to seeing her like that. Not even a few months back but I’m sure the grief of her beloved also maybe contributed to her passing.

Even though I'm American, I loved and greatly admired her, wept when she died, and feel a huge hole from her passing. She was the greatest, most universally loved, admired, and respected monarch in all of history. 🇺🇸❤️🇬🇧 God save the King!
