  • Hi Everyone ! 🥐

That's why I am here today, let's identify some common mistakes and remake the same style better.
Thank you for the team the shot this music video I am using, they were the first ones to give me a chance to practice at a time where I was only starting.

Thanks for the Frenhie CG. A good exercise! Respect to you for showing us your errors and how you have developed and advanced since you began.
In many ways it's quite inspiring to visit old grades and see the positive developments one has made. I don't do it often enough.
    Also:
Can i ask you what monitor you are using as a reference. I"m just about to invest in another monitor as my Benq Q has just died on me. Would love to get a heads up if poss, it's a bloody minefield out there with soooooo many choices and bits of info. No worries if you're too busy though.
Thanks again and all the best.

Yes I wish I saw some mistakes from people when I was a beginner, I feel this is then easier to learn and also to not feel completely like shit thinking we are not good enough. Seeing that some people made the same mistakes before makes you realise that they were not born colorists, they became colorists during loooong years of learning :)

      Oh sure !
I really love the Asus Proart series :)
I own a PA32UCX-PK, it is pretty good and the screen is huge to spot the noise ahha
I also have a Pa279CV for my gradings outside of my studio, when I go to grade in production house because the screen is really light and pretty efficient :)

So you started out before knowing the techniques in depth or due to the upgradation of color science & dvr version project looking worse than before? 🙄
Appreciate that you didn't hesitate to reveal the mistakes you did & barely anyone do that to hide their flaws.
Go girl go. All the best for the future.

Appreciate your comment ! Thank you !!!
In the beginning, I started to have some gigs in grading ignoring at this time that I didn't know the "most efficient ways" to grade.
For example, placing your nodes after a CST is not a mistake that will end up your career, it will just bring you SO MUCH frustration and problems when you'll want to export out.
Even today I discover new ways to make my workflow better and easier for me to achieve looks. Color grading is a never ending journey of learning which is thrilling ! :)
