  • In this video, Cutting Edge Stencils will teach you how to stencil a faux brick wall. We will go into detail about the paint colors, techniques, and pro tips on how to accomplish the exposed brick look without having to spend a ton of money! As an added bonus, Cutting Edge Stencils is going to teach you how to stencil a gorgeous large mandala on top of the faux #brick wall for extra flare. Stenciling is a great alternative to wallpaper. It costs less than wallpaper, you can customize the colors, stencils are reusable, and they're super simple to use! Plus, if you decide to change your mind and go with a different design, you can easily paint over it!
Cutting Edge Stencils has endless designs that will fit any personality. Check out our website www.cuttingedg... and design your next dream room!
For the perfect faux brick accent wall, you will need to base coat your wall the color of your grout lines. If you want this exact look, choose a medium shade of grey and a light shade of grey. Once you have painted your accent wall and it is completely dry, you are ready to begin stenciling!
We used Cutting Edge Stencil's Brick Allover Stencil. Click the link to purchase this stencil: www.cuttingedg...
When stenciling with our Brick Allover Stencil, Cutting Edge Stencils recommends buying two (or more) stencils. We understand your time is valuable and with multiple stencils on your accent wall, it will be done in half the time! Our Brick Allover Stencil also comes with a FREE Top Edge Stencil and a FREE extra Single Brick stencil to make your stenciling experience as painless as possible!
The mandala stencil used on our exposed brick wall is Cutting Edge Stencils Longevity Mandala Stencil. For this specific feature wall we used the 60" mandala stencil. Our #mandala #stencils come in multiple sizes to fit any project you want to stencil. Mandalas are popular on accent walls, furniture, and even as floor decor! Cutting Edge Stencils recommends using FLAT latex paint when stenciling your walls. The colors we used for this wall are Moroccan Red, Satchel, Black, and Navajo White all from Benjamin Moore.
Cutting Edge Stencils recommends applying spray adhesive to the back of your wall stencil to reduce the chances of bleed that can occur under your stencil. You can get spray adhesive at any local craft store.
Cutting Edge Stencils wants your faux brick wall to look perfect! We provide all the stenciling supplies you will need to accomplish that.
A simple and reusable tool for making sure your stencil is always straight is our Clip-On Stencil level! Click here to purchase our Clip-On Stencil Level: www.cuttingedg...

I did the brick stencil and it looks great! The only problem was I did it over a cement wall so the surface was a bit rough, so there's some touching up to do. But the stencil was excellent quality and the level took so much guesswork out of the process.

Hi! We're so happy you like your stenciled wall!! :) Stenciling over the cement wall can actually give it a more authentic brick texture feel. Thank you for using our stencils!

Hi Donnisha! We created a custom grey color with Benjamin Moore paints we had leftover in our studio. If you like it, you can take it to any Benjamin Moore/home improvement store and they can color match it for you! :)

Hi! We mention the colors and brand that we are using at 1:12. Incase you missed it, we use Benjamin Moore's Moroccan Red, Satchel, and Black in a flat latex finish.

What is the dimensions in a mandala? The name of the spray used in the stencil.

We used our Cutting Edge Stencils 60" Longevity Mandala Stencil: www.cuttingedgestencils.com/large-mandala-stencil-wall-mandalas-stencils-designs-decals.html
The sprayed the back with REPOSITIONABLE spray adhesive. Respoitionable spray adhesive is super important because it allows you to move the mandala stencil without residue sticking to the wall. We like Krylon and Elmers brand and you can get them at any local craft store :) More project details found the in the description.
